Freighter pilots. Specifically, those freighter pilots that travel through lowsec without instas, unescorted, while AFK. These people deserve to lose their ships. Period.
You know what I hate even more than that? A noob corp freighter pilot who does all of the above, gets ganked by someone who wants to teach such people a lesson, then turns out to be the alt of one of your ******* alliancemates. An alt who, of course, is demanding restitution for his own inattention.
ARGH! I finally get to use my dread for something other than shooting POS or moving **** from point A to point B, and then everything goes to hell.
Sometimes I hate EVE. Today is one of those days.

I hate the ones who log off, and then don't even lose the ships like they deserve to.

Dont pay him back, its his own fault.
Dont give him a penny (an isk).
I mean, how was you suppost to know it was an alliance mate, he should have put that character in a friendly corp. If my alt was to have died to my alliance when he is in a noob corp i wouldnt demand reinbursement. I wouldnt even pay back my real life friends if i killed their alt freighter in low sec.

If you were feeling nice I would give back his loot, if you have it, but otherwise don't do nothing. If he wasn't AFK he could have said something, if he was in a logistic corp he would have been blue, it's his own damn fault.

Well, apparently, because the corp and the alliance has a "no piracy" policy (it wasn't piracy, ffs - it was a public service!) I and my corpmate have to pay him back. My corpmate is out his Charon freighter, given to the loser who lost his due to being a ******* moron, and I'm out a nice chunk of ISK given to my corpmate to help cover what he just lost (it was my idea to kill the freighter in the first place - he just authorized it).
Did I mention I *hate* alliance politics?
EDIT: Nope, Evol, it wasn't a JHENR member. It was the CEO of one of the other corps.

What is with people? I used to hunt the main of a BH in SWG, I killed her jedi once a week. she never complained, just went on rampages through Naboo. (with really ****ed of the rebels there, since her jedi was an imp, and I was a rebel)

Thing is, I just joined the corp, and it's pretty freakin' obvious from this that they're a tight-knit bunch who support each other; in addition, this is the first corp in my entire EVE career where I feel I fit in. Moreover, the guy who authorized me to open fire agreed to give his freighter away as recompense just because the CEO of O-SYN told him to, which shows he must respect Yuki one hell of a lot and that there must be a reason for that respect.
As I wasn't going to leave him high and dry, I antied up about 2/3 of my wallet (about 250 mil in total) to help cover part of the cost of the freighter he just gave away. While I could've happily said "**** off" to the guy whose freighter got ganked, I couldn't leave my corpmate hanging when he was the one who got the shaft for me blowing up the freighter.
It's still left a really, REALLY bad taste in my mouth, though.
