Hullo,
The other day I noticed something slightly odd. When I created my first character, it let me select my faction, portrait and in the end it let me chose a career path from a small drop down menue. I didn't suspect anything odd as it was the first time I played the game.
Two days ago I wanted to create a second character and noticed some significant differences. This time around it let me distribute 5 points to my attributes and gave me very detailed options for my career path where I could click things that defined my background, my strengths, my specialisations and so on.
I was wondering why I didn't have this option the first time around, when I made my first character. Did I miss out on something with this character? Is there a chance that he's flawed, now? He started off with 10 skills, so that seems to be alright. I am not so sure about my attributes, though. Was there a "wizard" option that I maybe used to simplify the character creation process?
Just wondering. I'm kind of reluctant to trash this character and want to make sure that he's alright and isn't missing any skillpoints that I could have assigned from the get-go.

First time you picked a pre-selected skillpath(the career path you mentioned), that tries to optimise your attributes and skills for what you said you wanted to do. Second time you went with custom, and you got to pick everything for yourself.
EDIT: Note to self, there is a 't' in the word 'the'.

well, depends... the 'prefab' characters aren't neccesarily the best in attribute distribution. If you can post what your attributes are atm, combined with the learning skills you might have done we can see if things will work out for you.
