Does anyone know if ,during the current promotion for the collector's edition, the 90 days of additional game time is supposed to be added to your account automatically, or if it is coming as an additional code in your collector's edition package? |

In the description it says, "New account Key with 60 days of game time", so I'm going to guess that the 90 days is added to that and not usable for other accts.
But it is kind of ambiguous, so maybe a note to the marketing department might be in order before you purchase one.

There are 86,400 seconds in a day. You just saved one of them by typing 'u' instead of 'you'.-á Congratulations, dumbass!

If you click on the "Terms and Conditions" link on the page where you purchase the Collector's Edition, it says this:
Quote:If you have an active, paying EVE Online account, you can purchase the EVE: The Second Decade CollectorGÇÖs Edition via CCPGÇÖs Account Management website and get 3 free months of EVE Online added to the end of your current subscription.
With that said, I purchased it yesterday and beside a confirmation email, I am yet to receive any game time or the other digital items to my account.

I'd be interested in this information as well. I bought mine from Amazon and figured I'd just start a new account and then transfer the toon, but it would be extra awesome if CCP allows us to apply the game time to existing accounts. |

I'd like to get more info on this as well, mainly for the question above, plus:
- Will it work for unopened boxes bought before the sates specified? - Can it be bought for non-EVE store sources, such as Amazon, and still give this bonus?

The 90 days gets auto added to the eve account you used to perchance it. I know this because i got it last night and it changed my account payment type to "free time" almost right away.
The codes are for the rest of the stuff which will come in the post with the book and stuff.
I am quite shore you have to buy it direct from CCP with a logged in eve account to get the free things. |

I believe it is auto-added when bought through the account management page. No code.
WIll let you know later if I take the plunge.

I may have bought the collector's edition through the store as well, not sure. I went through the account page at first but I may have ended up in the store somehow. It did ask me to login with my account at some point and I did. But so far I have not received any game time added to my account.
CCP must address this issue. It is unacceptable that whether you receive the 90 days game time or not depends on a particular link you click. Both options sell you the same product from the same company during the same promotion. It doesn't say anywhere in the promotion "DON'T buy it through our store or you won't receive the additional game time". I wouldn't buy the collector's edition otherwise (with the shipping costs it makes it totally not worth it without the game time).
I opened a support ticket regarding this issue. So far I haven't heard anything back.
Will post if there are any updates.

It gets added at the end. I am so mad though. I have bought 4 of these and I lost all that potential game time because they decided to help the last min shoppers :( |

This kind of sucks, as buying directly from CCP means that very high shipping costs negate this additional incentive. I really want CCP to chime in on this, and maybe offer to extend this bonus to purchases from any location.

Hey all.
I just want to clarify that the 90 days of subscription time are automatically added to the account upon completion of the purchase.
Also, please keep in mind that this is a CCP promotion that has nothing to do with Amazon, so the 90 days will not be available for people who purchase the CE box through Amazon.

What about people who bought the collector's edition via the EVE store during the promotion? It did ask me for login but I didn't get any game time added to my account. How can I resolve this?

GM Stardust, you said that the 90 days will be added to the account upon the completion of the purchase. Looking at my account page on the eve store my order status is "order in process"
Do I take it that once the order has been dispatched that is is completed? Or if it requires a signature at my door or at the post office that is is competed then? I would like an idea of how long after I've handed my money over to you (CCP) that I will be credited the 90 days game time? In my mind and I could well be wrong but as soon as you accept my money the purchase is complete.

According to CCP, you should have had your account credited with the 90 days game time as soon as you submitted the order and payment was cleared. But if you bought it through the EVE store, apparently you are not entitled to the 90 days.
Got a response to my support ticket - CCP thinks it makes perfect sense that even though there is absolutely no information or any warning that you are not supposed to use the EVE store for this, you are not going to get your 90 days. Doesn't matter it is the same product, price, store, company and time period. It is my fault somehow.
And they have not responded to my order cancelation request and shipped it anyway, hours after I asked to cancel it.
Yes, I am upset. And I do feel cheated out of my 90 days game time.

I feel you there. Ordered via the ever store and it got delievered a week before the promotion hit. No response to my petition yet. I hope they change their policy to every CE sold. As it should be. |

Just ordered and got my 90 days game time. This only works if you order it through the official site. You cannot redeem this 90 days if you purchased it from Amazon.
Some maths.
- 90 days worth of game time = $45 / £30 assuming monthly subscription.
- GÇ£The Golden PodGÇ¥ = ISK 1,629,995,000.00
- 1 PLEX = 1 PLEX
- 1 Phanca Cybernetic Arm = ~ISK 300.000.000.00
- Rorqual ORE Development Edition ship skin = ~ISK 200,000,000.00
- Gnosis Battlecruiser Blueprint 5 Runs = ~ISK 250,000,000.00
That's 90 day game time + 1 PLEX + 2.38B ISK Assuming PLEX is 1B nowadays, you easily get 6 months of game time, and how much did you spend? 6 months worth of money. Not to mention you get 60 days game time for a NEW account. Need I mention the other goodies you get in the box? |
