Both options sell you the same product from the same company during the same promotion. It doesn't say anywhere in the promotion "DON'T buy it through our store or you won't receive the additional game time". I wouldn't buy the collector's edition otherwise (with the shipping costs it makes it totally not worth it without the game time). I opened a support ticket regarding this issue. The time show up instantly. If it helps I think you guys should get the time too. "Measure Twice, Cut Once."

The recent entry should be "1 x EVE Collector's Edition + 90 days game time". The 90 days is credited to the account after your payment has gone through. It does NOT come as a code in the box. I then got a DHL tracking email from Germany at about 7am.

I emailed to withdraw my order as it has not shipped yet so hopefully it will be caught quickly and reordered through the account management page and my 90 days of game time showed up instantly. Feel this should be fixed by CCP so people aren't misled, it's ridiculous that you get different deals when you are still buying straight from the source just by completing the transaction in two different ways. Or at least be very specific in your postings.

Feels like a bit of false advertising here as the purchase was only worthwhile to me for that reason. Edit Shame on me for thinking the 90 days advertised would be what I was purchasing instead of Geno 1-2s. EVE has taught me to read between the lines, but didn't think THIS would be the place I would need to do so.

As these things go, I don't think this was done on purpose but rather due to typical incompetence. I guess that someone at CCP came up with this promotion idea so they quickly wired it up to the account management. When they realized that people can still buy it through the EVE store and miss the promotion, they figured out it's easier to just claim that this is "by design" and the two are totally different things than to go and clean up the mess. including retroactively applying the 90 days game to people who already bought it. This is rather ridiculous. The promotion doesn't have any clear information how to buy the CE to have the 90 days applied, there is no warning that you should stick to the process of buying it from there or else you'd miss the promotion and the EVE store DOES ask you for login as well. This is as confusing as it gets. No typical user would even suspect these are different products and their purchase will result in different outcome. The right thing to do would be for CCP to take responsibility for this mess and clean it. But as someone already mentioned in this thread - this is EVE, you can't be suspecting enough... Musterband, the company that distributed these for CCP ignored my cancelation email request and shipped the package anyway. Now they say that in order to get refund I can refuse the DHL package when it gets to my door. Not sure who will be then charged for the returned shipment so I asked Musterband about it via email. Not sure if it will still work, but when I ordered in the original offering, I was able to use the 60 day key on a 21 day trial account to train a fresh exploration alt, I then paid to transfer the character to an open slot on my main :)

The book is an interesting read - fantastically presented. The rifter is on a par with my official Doctor Who merchandise - it looks great and functions nicely as a USB Port (which I'll never use - kitten, labrador, mini mes) The 90 day code was auto loaded on my account when I purchased it from the Account Management Page. I am yet to log in and collect in game items - but I'm torn between my original plan of cashing them out for a couple of plex, and holding them as in-game collectables. I am going to get drunk and play the board game tonight.

Breaking an ironclad forum rule the response I got was: Order through the account management page and 90 days will be credited to your account upon successful transaction completion.

Utilizing the 60 day key from CE does not activate the rewards tied to Buddy Invites, its in the fine print of the buddy keys themselves. Basically only cash/credit transactions to activate a trial account gives credit towards Buddy Invite rewards, CD keys, plex, etc do not.

That's not 100% true cause I have sent a lot of buddy invites and all of them paid with plex, and I got my 30days, so if they didn't changed it, then it should work.
