There are four ancient races in EVE. They are Talocan, Sleepers, Takmahl and Yan Jung. Their archeological sites can be found in EVE in certain constellations or areas of space. This information comes from EVE wiki. For some weird reason there is no ingame information in EVE where these sites can be found.
I propose that these areas of space where these sites can be found are marked on map.
Comments are welcome for my idea.

I can think of no reason why the map shouldnt have more functionality. +1
There is an idea of a Gay Pornstar; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there.

Could it be that there is a reason for that pickle?
And yes, give the map much more information!
The map should always show, what you can find in space at any given time, pilots, the ship they are flying, where they are, what they have fit and what they are doing. The current position in a solar system, where the link boat is, how many cloakers and where the cloakers are and what they are doing, what asteroids the miners are mining, which mission each player is doing and where.
Maybe the map gets not updated so qickly that the data is only updated once every 5 minutes, so that it cannot be abused.
Imagine you would have to find that out on your own.. (Neon-sign says, go there)

+1, in game sites feel sort of patchy and hard to find out about. Since theyre looking at map functionality anyways, this is an opportune time as well for stuff like this. |

Only reason why I even know ancient races exist is skill books. I have had habit reading all skills through in skill system and this is place where I have found information that these ancient races exist. Each race have their own skill book in science section: Talocan skill book, Sleeper skill book, Takmahl skill book and Yan Jung skill book.

Yes, it's entirely probable that you would go find out on your own BASIC COMMON KNOWLEDGE! Or wait, no it's not and you are just being stupid with your hyperbole. They are not asking for the map to show exact locations in systems. But the REGIONS in which those ancient races live. So people know where to start looking.
People should never have to use third party tools to play the game, and EVE currently is very poor at that. |

People should never have to use third party tools to play the game, and EVE currently is very poor at that. First off: Lived. They are extinct. Secondly: EVElopedia is no third-party tool. However, it should be better ... let me correct that: it should be integrated into the game in the first place like the Civilopedia is integrated into Civilization games. Then again, especially the articles about Takmahl, Yan Jung and Talocan are stub and don't give much information beyond their ancient constellation of residence. That means players and CCP would need to put some effort into these and a lot of other articles.
Thirdly: Yes, I agree with the suggestion. I know that their constellations are high lighted on the map (Araz, Okkelen and Algintal), but the descriptions of these POIs does not mention the ancient races, only other trivia. |
