Hello, New Eden!
Capitalizing off the massive success of last year's snowball fight, I'm hosting another one, for the sake of Live Events and the community!
In the spirit of the holidays, for the sake of events and gatherings, I'm hosting a player gathering during which pilots can strap Festival Launchers to their ships and launch snowballs and fireworks at each other.
Snowball Fight Details:
Luminaire VII - Moon 6 - Federation Navy Assembly Plant
20-DEC-13
EVE Time to be determined upon DJ schedules
* DJ Tranze from New Eden Radio (http://www.newedenradio.com/) has been invited to play Christmas music, and is hosting another Christmas lottery!
* Lightshows will be held (similar to the manner in which EVE Radio does on occasion)
-prizes will be devised based on discussions about this event: prizes include PLEX, a T3 Destroyer, and other comical gifts
-to participate, bring devices that emanate light: lasers, remote-repairs, cap transfers, target spectrum breakers, and drones
* "Secret Santa" style of gift exchanges between participants will be held (provided that participants bring gifts to exchange with each other)
-items worth under $200 million ISK are encouraged, to be contracted to me at Luminaire VII during the event to make the exchange with other participants: everyone who gives a gift gets a gift
Note: Last time, CCP Falcon and CCP Logibro showed up in CONCORD Battleships...Everyone, including CCP, are invited to attend!
More details will be posted as ideas are discussed.

Looks like a party.
Maybe if WASD controls are in place by this time we can see who flies the best while completely tanked on egg nog.

Spreading awareness on it through Aurora News! (Ready yourself! The second Luminaire Snowball Fight is coming!)
Last year was a blast & great fun with all the spectacular lightshows, fireworks and all out snowball pelting! Also, the chasing & bumping was hilarious.
For people who are curious what kind of event it'll be, reading last year's article on it (The Luminaire Holiday Festival was a great success!) will give you an idea what it's all about: having fun! And getting to know new people through it. Not to mention seeing what spectacular sights people can pull off with lasers and other light/effect emitting modules!
Be there & have fun, don't miss out on the kickoff of the holiday season! Oh and if you don't have snowballs or festival launchers? Still be there, and engulf yourself in some holidat cheer, Eve style!

I as one of the fleet commanders of warp to me am ofcourse "t3h b1@s" but i fully aggree with a9s assesment of WTM:) |

Thank you everyone for your donations and for attending the event!
It was even better than last year!
We had 20 people participate in the Secret Santa drive, and the light shows were awesome!
And of course, music by DJ Tranze and DJ Daggaroth from NewEdenRadio was absolutely glorious!
Congratulations to all the winners and pilots!
Hopefully, CCP Falcon was off in the distance watching us. :P

I had a great time at the event! Tested out a new Rokh party-fit, involving rapid-firing lasers. Turns out it was a big hit! The drawback of being less visible on long distance then the standard Large beam fit was more then compensated by the discolaser-feel it emitted!
Also, I was amazed at some of the people who competed in the Lightshows, it improved vastly from last year! I did notice alot less lasers then usual, think i was the only dedicated party laser-ship present all evening.
A big thanks to Commander A9 for organizing it & all the donaters who made this event such a great place to be with amazing prizes to win!

I wanted to say that Jandice's article really ties everything together so well. I was even there and I half-missed things like people getting shot from taking from the cans, the full list of winners, and James Baboli having a party ship available for people to borrow. Now I can point interested parties to her article instead of relying on images and my own memory and wording.
I want to thank Commander A9 again for all the effort he puts in. I don't know if he had help judging the lightshows, but that responsibility alone would have been trying enough for me. Then, of course there is the logistical effort he and any collaborators put in to deal with the awesomely generous prizes given by the other capsuleers or sponsors.
So, another cheer again for all involved! |
