Congrats CCP!
Its a bittersweet moment for me, as I would love to see more players in Eve, but I am concerned about the lag the network bandwidth, database issues, and server hardward cannot handle the higher loads. As of last night when the barrier was broken, it too broke my eve wallet (I was testing my T2 cruiser in a Level 3 mission which was not hard) needless to say its my second major loss after the dragon patch.
I am seriously considering a long long break from Eve until performance improves; I am an international player. Hence those are not suffering from lag could be from local, i dont know.
I really hope CCP fixes this issue.

well congrats ccp, it was good to see, i remember it barely getting over 20k not so long ago
my concern though, is that i lagged out and when i tried to connect i was in a queue, as were some of my gang members who also lagged out. Is it going to get to the point where im going to try and log in and have to wait half an hour before i can play. or if im in a fast moving gang in hostile space, im going to lag out and get left behind because im 10th in the queue or something?
how is this going to work?

ok guys big news - lag is better today since the BMs wre banned till the patch this will buy u some time to optimise the game even more. (how about adding some brand new low sec spots and removin 10% of the jita agents to additional lower sec (.6 perhaps)

Congrats, though, I'm concerned too about the current trends, very. Breaking the PCU barrier is very nice from a commercial point of view, but there are too many things broken at the moment to cheer.

Hehe, today is patchday and you are only able to copy 5 bm at a time. So I bet ALOT of this people was online to copy bookmarks. Positive sideeffect: CCP can report 30k online ^^ Anyway: gratz CCP, gratz EVE

don't know how to feel. knee deep in lag, nerfs, bugs, crashes and apparently even more people coming to EvE to lag us to hell(be sad) or new features, better codebase, more people to interact, a birthday, and simply EvE experience (be happy)

I was (reasonably) lag free last night as well. I even braved some mission running in Motsu and not only did my modules work but reload all and automatic reload worked too!!!

Whow, that is great can you imagine when we where looking at 5000 players and thinking it wa a lot 
I was wondering why some systems felt like flying in a big tub of lard... must have been all the n00bs copying their inacurate bookmarks. 
So what is the next target? Are we aiming at the 50k or should we just keep going till the 100k (at which time we will all get a free carebear launcher to complement our snowball launchers  )

Yep... 30K is great record, congratulations. But honestly, I'd prefer to celebrate a smooth Tranquility with less players instead of a 30K laggy record.

Pretty cool stuff. No doubt this was due to there being 15,000 alts on with everybody spamming their insta sets around before the BM nerf bat arrives.
