well... if CCP doesn't respond now... i don't know what will (maybe throwing a brick trough Oveur's office window with a paper wrapped on it:"read the forums, we have something to say!" or with the text:"this is what we think of the warp sound" :P the last one is a bit harsh... and REALLY!!! DON'T DO IT!!! ANYBODY!!! DON'T!!! it's just a joke... so REALLY DON'T!!  )
they have to put something like this in the game... now so many ppl are requesting it... from what i've seen, this is a company that actually listenes to their customers (unlike that damn EA)...

Yes, well I looked briefly for a thread making a similar request but didn't see one. I wish they had never fixed that sound with the last patch as I was actually playing eve with sound again until then.
Though I must admit (sadly) that my thread is receiving very little support. Perhaps everyone else actually likes that sound?

I could do without it, although it's nice to hear myself coming out of warp. I often alt-tab to visit forums or write letters or play N while I'm travelling. 85AU in a battleship is enough time to get rather a lot done, but sitting next to a gate for a minute afterward is bad.
I'd like to see the sounds reworked, rather than disabled. Maybe just have AURA give you a voice notification. "Warp Drive Active...Warp Bubble Collapsing"
Also, I have a terrible clicking in my EvE sounds of all types after an hour or so of play. Is that a known issue, or do I just have a crappy soundcard ($12, so I know it's crappy, I'm just wondering if that's my problem. Works great in all other games.)

I was on teamspeak the other night, and a guy tried transmitting while warping with the camera close to his ship. It sounded like he was on the back of a moving train.

It's not that there is anything "wrong" with it, I'd just like to have the option to turn it off. I like the rest of the ambient sounds but have no option other than all sound on or all sound off.
