The only way I can think of to do it is to call a remote script. For example I created a quick php script which you can input a number and the script creates a jpg image with the answer (see my previous post for the results). However, the number generated by rnd seems to be localized to each post so I can't get it to use the number from the OPs post.

Originally by: Kldraina You could quote the op though, so that your answer would have the same rnd value as the quote.
I added that to my first post, but the value is still different from the OP since the rnd in the quote gets regenerated as well. If Rabbitgod linked the image in his OP it would work just fine.

Originally by: Sivlan Here's the source. Basically it grabs the post, figures out which number its using in this current refresh of the post, parses it all and does the math. It then takes the result and the original equation, tacks it into a picture so I can display it on the forums.
I thought about doing something like that, but figured it would still end up being a different number than the OPs when displayed in the message since a different number is generated everytime the page is loaded. Since the php script grabs the page on its own it gets its own number which doesn't match the OPs when everyone else looks at it.
Its still a good idea, but the result isn't any different than generating your own random number. Basically the only one than can actually make this approach of a PHP generated image work is the OP.
Edit: Also your post is too wide and is screwing up the formating of this page.

Thats what I'm running and it wasn't terrible, but it was definitely intruding on the sidebar to the right which the moderators usually aren't to fond of.

Originally by: Grey Area Actually Rabbit, I think you should stump up with the cash for Galadin Venyaa. He's come up with a solution that matches your problem every time, and it shows the workings on the calculator page.
And he was like the third person to do it. Even then it doesn't actually work since the rnd value generated for each post is different. See here and here for the first two who actually embed the answer to the formula into the post using a php generated image rather than just linking to google.
