Phice Anxu wrote:Why did CCP change it while it wasn't broken ?
Its what they do, and seems to be ingrained into their philosophy.
Why waste valuable developer time fixing things that are broken when they can break something else.
Aaaaaaaaaand.....God forbid them keeping their "promises" and revisiting previous screw ups to finish "iterations":
That is the tootip fiasco where they said they would provide delay sliders for each type of tooltip. That was 6 months ago and we are still waiting.
Ferking hopeless.

For what you need a colorful overdone GUI what will cover the main reason why we play EVE: spaceships in space. The EVE forums are mainly not really representing the opinion of the whole playerbase. Internet forums were made for grumpy smart-a**es never been satisfied.
Or smug bas tards who do not appreciate the opinions of other people.

But then you probably would have had the sense not to introduce this load of cr4p in the first place.

CCP CCP CCP ......time to listen !
To sum up....
Replace the Icon over your ship after broadcasting for reps Stop the background window colour changing Stop the whole background dimming when a dialog box is displayed Stop the targeting crosshairs just staying static in space Stop the module icons randomly moving from right to left when decloaking, after session change, closing the PI window etc. Fix the problem creating keyboard shortcuts Fix the crappy colours on most of the ships
Sometime before everyone dies of old age would be good.
Oh, and way to go on fixing the most burning issues first..........
From yesterdays patch notes: "Our tailors have fixed tucking problems on some male pants"
Awesome stuff

I think (and I am probably not the only one) that the new update cycle is the best thing to happen to Eve in a very long time.
Well done CCP.
The concept behind it is great.....Unfortunately, its implementation is awful.
There is not enough time to fix the issues caused by one patch before the next one hits. As a result we are left with a legacy of half-finished, "features" riddled with problems which never get fixed.
The longer it goes on, the worse it will get with EVE becoming a game full of bugs and issues more than it is now.
We were promised an "iteration" on the tooltip fiasco, to provide separate sliders different types of tooltips. That was 6 months ago and we all really know that it's never going to happen.
Sadly CCP are fixated with producing eye-candy to satisfy the WOW imports and their fanboi's at the expense of creating a game that actually works.
CCP have said that with the new "exciting" release schedule there is no longer a rush to bring things in until they are ready. Clearly that is complete bollox. The Sisi forum was full of people pointing out issues with the UI & ship colours, but they brought it in anyway.
It would be nice if CCP actually practiced what they preached, instead of feeding people a load of horse sh!t, hoping that people are dopey enough to believe it. Unfortunately, some are.

Main thing is that the Dev's are keeping us informed of their thoughts and how they are going to fix this cr4p.
I mean, its only 4 days since their last response.
Thanks CCP for not keeping us in the dark. Awesome.

But today, they did fix the "clipping issues on Eternity dress tops"
Doing the important stuff first, clearly.

Doing the important stuff first, clearly. Selective reading to support your cause? Quote: User Interface:
New Map: fixed home station icon not updating New Map: fixed an issue causing the grouping menu to get stuck Fixed an issue where binding of keys was not possible Fleet window no longer selects all members in the fleet when scrolling the fleet window Fixed an issue where opening and closing stacked windows would cause them to break Key shortcuts and the fleet window were clearly the most important fixes needed.
There are many, many more important issues with this release than "clipping issues on Eternity dress tops"
A couple have been addressed, but there are still a lot outstanding. So my point stands.
