Considering that they have lost their food-producing planet(s), I wonder how long it will be before the station residents run out of food and medical supplies. Barring that, the people should be evacuated as soon as possible. |

I assume that the stations themselves have Hydroponics and are self-sustainable. The loss of their planetary colonies is probably going to harm their research and their mining of materials, but doesn't pose a risk of starvation. |

Speculation is endless but a dead end.
So, without further of such on my part. It would be good for those responsible for the well being of the station inhabitants to let us know exactly what they need via market orders for basic necessities that cannot be produced in an artificial environment.
Can they sustain themselves indefinitely? Will the residents get cain fever and want to leave the stations? What shape are the residents in? Uncertainty seems everpresent. |

Orbitals are quite capable of being fully self-sufficient. Graviton reactors. Recycling systems. Tank grown food.
Whether these ARE or not, is another question, of course. The most pressing issue is what kind of damcon stuff they are short of to get these orbitals back on their feet.

I'd start hauling in some basic equipment, food, water, nanopaste, ship hulls, modules, ammo, those kinds of things. Butf I can't fly a freighter so I couldn't bring in enough of anything to make it worth while.

My understanding is that several corporations that specialise in "opportunistic area denial and asset retrieval operations" would make getting any sort of Indy or Freighter into those stations a tricky prospect, currently.

Cloaky haulers, I believe, can easily do the job. The question is, however, where to put said food. Maybe someone, who got there and planning to "live" would tell us, which stations have which buy orders for which kind of food?

There currently are no buy or sell orders in Thera for any type of consumer products such as food or medicine.

"... It is the view of the Inner Circle that the period of emergency in Thera is coming to a close. The Sanctuary has confirmed that search and rescue operations are being brought to an end. The re-establishment of full logistical support for the remaining stations is the most important of the remaining tasks, and this is progressing satisfactorily.
The above findings are strictly preliminary. The Inner Circle anticipates releasing a fuller, albeit interim, report in the coming days."
Well we have our answer. |

Is anyone buying "Nothing to see here. Move along" ?

When the preliminary announcement went out, I and my exploration team sidetracked our current mission with the intent of aiding in the evacuation effort that would surely follow - getting non-essential civilian personnel out of the area before it devolved into the warzone that of course it quickly became. A representative of The Sanctuary met me in my assigned landing zone to assure me that while they appreciated the effort we had taken, our assistance was not needed in the matter. Access to the station is strictly controlled. Highly suspicious. |
