This thread will collect all issues known to us that we are working on and possible workarounds related to the Crucible release.
1. Scan probes not working below 4AU
This is actually not a bug, but the result of a change to the way probes and signature filtering works. If you are experiencing this you will need to reset your scan probe filters as many signatures have now been split into separate categories.
2. Pinning windows
We are aware that this option is currently not present and we are looking into fixing it. We currently have no workaround.
3. Drones have vanished from my Supercarrier!
As explain here, during the deployment Crucible all Supercarriers that had any non-fighter(bomber) drones, or exceeded the maximum drone space in their drone bay had their drones moved to their home stations. If you are one of the pilots affected and need help getting back up and running, please file a petition in the 'Stuck Character' category and a friendly GM will help you out as soon as possible.
4. My patch failed!
If your patch failed for some reason, you can run the repair tool with the following launch option:
repair.exe --buildno:306979
You can do this by creating a shortcut of the repair.exe file (found in your EVE folder) and opening the properties of the shortcut. Then add --buildno:306979 to the source path.
5. Russian/German petition category is missing from petitions in game
This is by design; they are now subject to localization. Customer support also have full control over the creation and routing of petition categories to queues so if adjustments need to be made they have the tools and the authority.
Client in Russian -> Only get Russian categories Client in German -> Only get German categories Client in Japanese -> Only get Japanese categories Client in English -> Only get English categories.
6. I cannot find the fuel block BPOs!
As explained in this message, the BPOs will be seeded in a few days, and starbases will not switch over to fuel blocks for some time after the BPOs are seeded. This measure has been put into place to make sure no one is caught unawares and to make sure that the transition is as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
7. My windows are not the way I last left them!
There was an important change that went in with Crucible that has been falling below the radar a bit. From the patch notes:
"Window settings on Tranquility have been reset as part of the changes to UI and UI scaling. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause to saved windows."
This means that your windows settings have been reset. Unfortunately there is no other workaround besides rebuilding the exact setup that you prefer. GM Homonoia | Info Group | Game Master |

Small addendum here, while running the Repair.exe, like in 1-2 minutes after activating it, open task manager (ctrl-alt-del), go to processes, find and terminate exefile.exe if it's there.
Otherwise you may get a error similar to: "permission denied when trying to access /bin/exefile" after the downloading has ended and the repair tool tries to apply the patch.
This has happened to me last nite and that fixed the permission error. |

Downloaded the patch, but it failed to install. Got the option to run repair.exe, it has to download. Starts downloading, gets to between 20 and 50% then freezes for 10 seconds, errors out and disappears a moment after that.

I'm suggesting first posting about what the error is, otherwise if troubleshooting ain't working for you just do a full client download. |

You are hopefully aware that you shouldn't be counting on players to come search in the forums to figure out how to cope with a potentially confusing change to an important game system.
CCP probably should have made sure that information was placed clearly in their face, or else deleted old filters with the patch to force a resolution on the matter.

Can you please explain to me how this possibly can be considered "Not a bug"?
The sig shows up on scan just fine with my existing filters at 4 AU and then vanishes at lower radius.
How, exactly, is it "Not a bug," that my filters work differently at different scan probe radiuses?

I will take a wild quess here: The Scan system will display the category of a signature as accurately as possible with the data from the latest scan. So at first you'll probably get "unkown", closing in on the signature and getting better results your Scanner may categorize the "unkown" as "radar" or whatever.
Since CCP introduced new subcategories it is likely that, once you've come down to 4AU or a certain signal strength, your signature may fall under a different category and is therefor filtered out by your preset filters.
For once I'm with the developers saying "It's not a bug, it's a feature"

This is exactly what happens. The filters now offer to filter out sites of a certain type (i.e. you only want to ever fully scan down Radar sites, you can now set a filter to do exactly that). At a certain signal strength, the type of the site becomes known, at which point the filter for the type will kick in (it won't filter until the type is actually visible).
Those options won't be set automatically on existing filters, so if you have any filter set wtihin the system scanner, you will have to update them to include the signature types you want to be able to fully scan down. GM Karidor | Senior Game Master |

Hey i noticed that minimized windows dont blink when someone types a new sentence.
IE before if i was talking in alliance and no one talked i minimized it, then when someone says something new, it would blink and i would know to look. Is this a bug?
EDIT: Also the UI disappears when right clicking sometimes. |

Some issues I found:
1. "F11" it does not slide your "selected item" window out of the way
2. "Ctrl + F9" does not remove minimized windows from the screen to take UI free screen shots
3. Combining "Information" window and "People & Places" window. If you are looking at the people and places portion, and open an "Information" window item, it will not make the Information window go to the top, you have to click it.
4. Jukebox - When you add CCP tracks to your own playlist, they show up as mls://UI_AUDIO_AMBIENT021
5. I seem to be running into non-bookmarked stargates a lot more frequently
Really, just minor inconveniences on my part that I've experienced. Great patch. Sometime in the future I plan on buying myself one of the new ships CCP implemented, probably the Tornado or Talos which are visually stunning. |

Any chance to have back the combo narrow | normal | expanded in font settings and have back the old font? new font is too high and has too pixel of spacing above; with my 17" monitor (1280x1024) I can't organize as usual the local, overview and intel/corp windows :( |

Issue with 'look at'
I have my hud aligned to top of screen. Sometimes while in combat text appears under the hud "LOOK AT Click Target".
When this text appears any object that I click, whether it be in my overview or a locked target icon, forces my camera to that object and I have to reset camera each time. Clicking the locked target icon or object in my overview a second time also resets my camera, but to the default position.
Maybe this is some new functionality that I am inadvertently triggering? This started happening right before DT so I haven't yet had a chance to mess with it and see what is making this text appear under my hud. |

People cannot drag items from the CO into their cargo. This is just a UI bug, the items you are seeing donGÇÖt exist anymore because they were stacked. Logging out and logging in again will clear it for now. We are working on a fix.
This is not just for CO to cargo. If you buy a large stack of items, such as guns for a Tornado, and you go to equip them it will stop counting how many you have left in the stack for your items menu.
It'll go a little something like this
Open fitting menu -> drag gun to slot -> Gun is added to ship -> Stack counter in items menu goes down (-1) Drag another gun to slot -> Gun is added to ship -> stack counter remains the same as before, it does not subtract one unit.
I've found a temp fix for this, type a random bit of numbers in the Search box in the items menu(then hit the X to cancel it), or change your filter to list or small icon, then switch back to your normal. It seems to be purely a UI bug that I reported in SiSi about two weeks ago and it seems to have transfered over.

Directional scanner only shows scan angle when mouse is over the slider knob. This may be intentional but is irritating and a terrible change. Also, ccp, would it not be possible to make the knob on the slider a tad bigger like it used to be two or so patches prior?  |

The in game browser trust system is nearly non-functional. The first browser instance after client startup loads trust settings and sends the trusted headers as normal. Closing and opening the browser afterwards now completely fails to send the trusted headers, the browser still pretends however that the websites are trusted but does not send ANY custom headers including HTTP_EVE_TRUSTED. I have roughly 1k active users which depend on the trust browser system working being ****** by this bug forcing them to constantly retrust the site.
Basically the workaround for the trust system being broken is.
Don't close the browser ever after the first time you open it.
Or
Delete the site manually from retrusted, save it, then retrust the site. This must be repeated every time the browser is opened even though it shows the site was trusted. |

At a certain signal strength, the type of the site becomes known, at which point the filter for the type will kick in (it won't filter until the type is actually visible). The filters are pointless as you can't differentiate between missing the sig with probes and the sig being of a type ignored. Why is this even included? With ship scanning people have a good idea what they are looking for mostly via dscan, with sig probing people have to probe every sig anyway. |

Deliver to member hangar not working from Corp Assets > Deliveries
Reason, as it seems - the text Deliver to member hangar is not shown, but the menu option is still there, like in the last 1px line, you can mouseover if careful. Another option is to deliver more than one item, the number of items in brackets will be shown there, so the menu option will be visible.

Yup. This is one of the most incredibly stupid 'features' I've ever heard of in any piece of software.
If I'm scanning for Radars, then I still need to be informed that the sig I was looking at is *not* a Radar so I can add it to my ignore list. The fact that the sig just vanishes as if I missed it with my probes completely prevents me from adding it to my ignore list. Not to mention the amount of time I will have to waste trying to differentiate between a non-Radar sig and a sig I'm missing.
Great job, CCP. A 'feature' that makes the job you are trying to do impossible. |
