When you run a ping to google, do you see any dropped packets (as in time outs)? 1-2 packet lost will cause eve to close the connection, but other internet services (youtube, voice,..etc) will be unaffected.
If you have that packet loss, have another chat with the ISP. It is entirely possible: * overloaded some network nodes to service more customers at no extra investment cost and accepted that at peak times the service quality drops but remains 'acceptable' for general purpose browsing. . * they had a network failure and your part of the network is now struggling to cope with increased traffic due to ISP rerouting stuff. * ISP localized hardware failure, for instance a faulty connection due external factors (can affect a few blocks at a time)
Of course, they'll want to keep quiet on this (we see no problem on our end ...bla..bla). It is unlikely you'll get a good answer from the person that first answers your call. Ask to be forwarded to tech personnel, the public relation monkeys are only reading a predefined troubleshooting list/standard responses and have no real idea of what is going on.
For the problem to be on eve side .. it's unlikely. From what I understood, eve servers have dynamic routing, and if a faster route is found to your connection, a new route is created behind the scenes. So connection point to eve today =/= connection point to eve yesterday =/=connection point tomorrow.
If within a week the situation doesn't improve, change providers. |

I get the same problem on my clients whether I'm running 3 clients or just 1, after running for about an hour they reboot and I have to relog in. This is an issue if you are in a fleet fight and get left behind somewhere. Ne ways I have put in a petition and awaiting reply to that, can't really do much in game until I can trust that the eve clients isn't going to boot me after an hour.
One thing to note is that this has only started on the 12th since the last patch.

Quick response from CCP thanks guys, Cesar Menage the issue for me was that I'm located in Australia and there is currently an issue with the backbone from my area. CCP said to contact the ISP and looking further into the issue it was my ISP they say that there are issue with my exchange affecting the line. You might want to do the same thing if you live in Australia dude.
Thanks ccp for the quick reply you were right on the money. Hope this helps. |

If anyone's experiencing a persistent memory leak and stuttering while playing, try disabling the audio in the ESC>Sound options. Before doing so my RAM usage steadily increased to upwards of 2gb after a few hours, but after disabling audio and relogging it's been stable.

Anything posted to a chat window that matches or exceeds the maximum character limit will not be received by others in the channel. After posting it, the system will filter you for spam, preventing you from posting anything else in that channel for 60 seconds.
EDIT: Apparantly this is referred to as "that cutoff bug" and only happens on emotes. |
