So who here has strange little quirks/habits/compulsions/rituals that they perform whenever they play EVE? Let me elaborate by giving an example;
After I login on this toon and she's standing around in her captain's quarters, I play the song "Starships" by Nicki Minage with the volume cranked up while I make her strut down the hallway towards her pod. I dunno why but I find it suits Cosmic really well, considering she's a wild thing.
Don't diss that song, its catchy as hell with a great beat and it sounds great when you're hammered!! |

You can still click "<<< Enter Ship Hangar" and go do all the ship spinning you want.

I have an audio memory, not completely eidetic but close enough that all I needed to do was attend classes and lectures to never need to study. However, I can't handle covers or remixes that are too similar to the original as I here the original in my head and all the wrong notes and miss timed words "clash".
I also don't control what I recall or why sometimes. Hurricanes and planets somehow that associated and certain phrases people say in every day conversation can run a whole song through my head. Means I can lip synch really well but you never want to hear me sing.

I attempt to log in.Then after the verification failure I delete 19 files in the bin folder.Now I'm getting focused on eve I run the repair tool.When this has finished I hit the launcher and click play.Awesomeness.This has become a ritual for all my eve sessions,doesn't bring me any luck though.

During my stint in Brave, the corp tradition was Bourbon.

All the while I'm thinking: "Jesus Christ.....I'd rather drink goat **** decanted from human skulls."
Months after I left I received a bottle of.....you guessed it....Bourbon, as a gift from a supplier.
Sweet Mother of God. It's like drinking the nectar from all things wonderful.
So now it's Bulliet over an ice ball in a rocks glass. (Not that Jack Daniels ****, and No Turkey / Beam garbage either, thanks.)
You can quit sipping when you loose a 1/2 bill in ships, or get podded.
Flying without lubricant is possible, but never as much fun.

I have a couple things I'd consider rituals. One is my collecting of corpses. I can't resist them, floating there in space, begging to be scooped up and put into my 'Meat Locker' at my home station. It doesn't matter if I killed them or not (note, I've never killed anyone in game) but I love scooping up corpses to keep. I'm nearing a hundred right now. I'm waiting for the day CCP gives us a station trophy room where I can hang them on the wall or something.
Also, especially lately, I've been flying around to the tunes of Guardians Of The Galaxy Awesome Mixtape 1. Maybe it's because I have the mental vision of those songs playing in a space environment, but they just get me in the right mood for exploring the universe. :)

back when i had just three monitors and three characters (rain7, 8, & 9) i used to open character customization and zoom in on their head and shoulders so they would sit and blink and look around slightly while i did homework

Start EVE with my main and my alt, join the local Orca booster fleet, and go fill up my Orca for the day. Stop by the POS, compress that ****, and store it in my station.
Then I take out whatever combat ship I feel like flying, head to the systems around and in Amarr and go suspect/criminal hunting.
When I get bored of that, I usually go do some combat sites, or sit in station and "socialize" with my corpmates on Vent. |
