Cozmik R5 wrote:/me points to your local computer store. HDDs are given away these days. many HDDs are today 2-3x the price they were 3 months ago.
Production of 3.5'' drives was hit directly and 2.5'' drives followed suit as ~80% of the worldwide production capacity of drive motors was taken out.
Occasionally you can still find remaining stocks of cheap external 3.5'' drives (check mom&dad PC stores with low turnover) - just rip off the casing.
Maybe buy SSDs. |

You'll want to go to Advanced (Advanced System Settings in Win7 Control Panel >System, on the left) , then Environment Variables.
You will see User Variables and System Variables. You can delete the User variables if you like (or change them) and go to System Variables to find TMP and TEMP and edit them to a path on E:.
Reboot. That doesn't really work well, because EVE use the C:\ProgramData\CCP directory for applying patches instead of the temp... Ah, didn't notice, if that's the case, you're right. Damn, CCP fix this.
If your C:\ drive is NTFS formatted and you have another partition / mounted drive that has plenty of free space you can mount it again as a Directory path. Its an win2K/XP/Vista Win7 feature that's rarely used.
Example I had "I:\" drive with plenty of space - on my OS (XP) the Repair-tool autopacher directory is "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CCP\EVE\repair_download_cache" , Using control panel "Disk Management" I added that directory path as a second mount point for I:\ drive and anything written to that directory is actually then written to the root of the I:\ drive.
Vista and/or Win7 the path for the Repair-tool autopacher is likely different and the only thing to keep in mind is the directory has to be EMPTY when you adding it as a 2nd mount point - but that directory should be empty anyway.

Prices have already nearly doubled here in the US. Too late! |

Hi, HDD space needed is as follows:
On C: at least 15GIG free for Eve Temp file to installed, this does not take into windows and memory resident programmes already running.
20 GIG free is better and installation goes faster.
If Eve is installed to C:, then you need even more space, as client needs to be updated and added to.
My eve directory is at 10.5 GIG at since patch
cheers
