Check redeem items.
If you cannot find redeem items in the EVE button and then inventory slide down, just press alt - Y..
CCP - Outpost code is scary.
CCP Greyscale - Starbases - They need to look @#$%ing awesome, and people need to want them and

Um...not to be ungrateful or anything, but (a) the bar was set a lot higher last year, (b) it was very nice getting the superfast shuttles, (c) this year's goodies are really just a pile of vendor trash that you can't even vendor and will do nothing but clog up your hangar space, and (d) basically it just feels like a lump of coal. One useful item would have been more appreciated than 28 pieces of garbage (sorry, fans, but they are just useless garbage). |

There really shouldn't ever be a time when you receive something that is functional in EVE for free unless it's your Rookie Ship.
Concerns about player choice simply have no bearing in a situation involving items regularly put into the game as an "in-joke." Last year we didn't have a choice either. Everything was pretty much random except for the static items like Fedos, Snowballs, Launchers, etc.
tl;dr: No, you can't make that argument here and even if you could it's just thinly veiled whine stemming from some undeserved feeling of entitlement. |

What I like the most about these holiday gifts is
a) CCPTrolling
b) Maybe . . . just maybe, CCP is too busy doing something so cray-cray with the green triplets (or whatever you want to call what's left of Caroline's hole) that they just threw something together.
Or maybe none of the above. I like the free collector's stuff. It's fun. Even if it doesn't blow people up. Makes me a little happy.

edit: also +1 to what the guy above me said. for those that didnt get the memo, it did say in the recent email that the christmas stuff would start the 18th.
I wanted to see the Yule Lads, they were my favorite part of Christmas last year. I do like that CCP has a sense of humor about their game and that they involve players by naming things after them or creating items that reflect player actions. The DUST514 forum says that there is a Snowball Launcher. I haven't logged on to buy some but I am going to when I get home.
Thank you CCP for making New Eden a fun place that is unique and interesting.
Yesterday's weirdness is tomorrow's reason why.
