seriously, I have been reading the boards forever( yrs) always see posts about lag, and yet me, and those i play with hardly ever experience it.
so wth is your problem?
i mean ya, we had to leave Jita area long ago, cause with 500 ppl in local it was a tad laggy, but nothing really terrible but thats USING YOUR HEAD, NOT STAYING THERE AND CRYING LIKE A SICK MULE.
you know, that the computer, the connection, and the optimization of both play a HUGE part of the lag problems, butg this simple logic falls on deaf ears all the time.
and no i dont have an uber system( 2.8 athalon, 2 gig ram GF 6800 vid card)
So, on behalf of all those that are tired of your whiney posts:
LEAVE ALLREADY

To fix the problem CCP should just delete the accounts of everyone who has been playing less than 2 years.
Whiners gone and problem solved.

Well, i have a fairly decent computer (dual core 3800+ amd) 128 meg 7800 grapx card, and i havent really had much lag until lately.
Even if I dont plan to leave EVE any time soon, I reserve the right to voice my opinion that there has been a noticable increase in lag and disconnects lately.
Does it stop me from logging back on and continue playing? No. But does it reduce the gaming expirience somewhat? Yes.
I would think all developers would like to see reports of bugs and lag issues so they are aware of it.
I dont really see any reason for people flaming paying customers that voice their opinion/reports.
CCP should know they have created a awesome game (which im highly addicted to) but that there has been a increase of lag issues. I dont really see the harm done in saying so.

The harm is done when, like today, the entire general discussion forum is filled with posts whining about the lag.
I know there is lag.
I don't need 600 people to post new threads about it.

I agree that it clutters the forum when every single one makes a new thread about it, so would be nice if ppl stuck to one thread on the subject.

CCP would love one managable, controllable thread about lag. Easier to hide and ignore.
When this many threads turn up, it's not 'cos of a few 'whiners', it's 'cos people are paying for a gradually deteriorating service.
Most people will read the forums of a MMORPG before trying it, and definately before subscribing full time. This forum as it stands is bad press for CCP, and the sooner they can calm it down the better for them.

The thing is it's not computer or frames lag it's server connection lag, besides ccp posted the system requirements... If those are no longer good enough UPDATE IT!
