You need a minimum effective corp standing of at least 4.45, in addition to an effective faction, corp or personal standing of at least 6.45 to use this agent
Boundless Creation -> Adge 6.87 (Connections 3 raises your effective standing from 6.45)(Great)
Relevant skills
High Energy Physics level 4,Nuclear Physics level 4,Electromagnetic Physics level 4,Minmatar Starship Engineering level 4,Mechanical Engineering level 4
Adge has all of these sciences at at least level 1.
What am I missing?

It's not clear but you need fraction standing 4.45. Go to some cosmos to boost it.

think you need to run 1 or 2 more missions so your base standing is over the requirement, don't you need the relevent skill at the same lvl as agent i.e. High Energy Physics level 4, (agent) so your needs to be lvl 4 ?

Thank you for your responses.
In actuality, the problem went away without intervention on my part. I logged out for the night; when I logged back in, I happened to look at the agent info again. The "You need a minimum effective corp standing" message was no longer there, and I was able to start the research project.
I don't know if it was logging out and back in or the intervening downtime that fixed the problem.

afaik downtime does calulations to corp standing, so the downtime updated the faction i would say

Edit: The agent is definitely listed as "Available to you", so it isn't really standings.
DUDE.... a level 4 agent ALSO requires you to have LEVEL 4 in the relevant research field NOT 1.

Actually no. Common misconception. ANY R&D agent simply requires you to have some knowlege of their field of research. More is a good idea as it gets more rp/day, but it only 1 point is required to start a project.

Probably only logging out and back had fixed the problem. I had exactly the same problem some time ago. After doing the last mission to move my standing above the agent's requirements I got the same messages like you. The problem was solved after reconnecting.

Actually, it did, when I launched my first research project back in february 2005, I had to match the skills of my agent before I could start gaining Research Points ... that mechanic changed sometime between then and now, but I can't remember when.
Nowadays, you only need 1 in the Science skills of the agent, it's much easier to get a few RPs and participate in that totally awful joke that is the T2 lotery system ...
Yes, I'm bitter, 19 months of research with 3 different agents, and not even a single crappy BPO ... but I "paid" something like 300 millions ISKs in Science Graduates and other assorted goodies for those daily missions ... until I was fed up, a "fetch me 144 Science Graduates" 5 days in a row sealed the deal (85 millions of Science Graduates PER DAY ? come on ...).

What yuo should haev done was to bring some exotic dancers. It's quite obvious that the agent works too much, needs to kick back and relax. Maybe that would help him to get some results!
Edit; Unless, of course, he uses the science graduates for.. ermm.. relaxing.
