Me and a friend today took down a Raven and a Geddon in a Deimos and an Eos. Not a great deal, but sentries were on their side - my Deimos not being set-up for gate ganking, struggled when the sentries hit me. But it's nice after so long of playing, you can still get the feeling you had when you first killed something. Absolute Evil pwned my sig =(

The victim was some -4.6 guy from Pirate Coalition being half-asleep in a belt in Gonditsa. Movie: Click! I had scanned the guy out earlier in a belt where I had gone to attempt to engage him. Unfortunately he was going ~3.5km/s and was impossible to catch, so I warped off to another belt to try and bait him to follow me (picked a pretty obvious one where he could easily see where I went) - unfortunately he did not follow. I stayed around a bit, then started scanning again and found him in another belt. This time I warped in right on top of him and the movie tells the rest of the story. Please excuse the bad FPS, was running a few other programs at the time, wasn't really prepared to Fraps. ^^ Loot was decent enough, although his 2 other T2 launchers blew up along with his T2 MWD. :( Just got 2m SPs on my char today too, this was a nice way to celebrate it! PS: Please ignore the fact that I forgot to use my scrambler, I was much more interested in making sure the web was active. No way he was going to warp out before dying regardless (but yes, it was not on purpose, I suck!). ^^ -- Piewat! Low SP piracy Now with more stories and small clips!

Learning first, then frigates to get the punisher, what then? and how long did it take you to get through the basic skill training to fly a punisher and do some pirating?

Sorry for the late reply. Some of this was answered here, but for which skills to take you could just see the Skills forum. It's pretty basic, basically whatever you need to use the Bleeder setup and then additional gunnery / frig skills to increase your overall usefulness. You can start almost right away, you just have to be very picky about your targets and prepared to lose a lot of ships. Almost done with T2 Medium Projectile training now, can't wait to try out the Stabber with a T2 fit - close-range ships such as the Rupture & Rifter are getting a bit dull. =) -- Piewat! An astounding 2fps with 300+ ppl in the system. A sarcastic Yay. So yesterday, I figure if I'm going to lose my first ship to piracy, I might as well make it a doosey. Fully fitted Vengeance with all T2 weps and mods (cept for the webby / scram of course) I see a fellow amarr pilot by the name of "Redart" who was obviously in a pirate corp, while perusing some lowsec systems. I shoot him a quick convo, stating I'm rather new to pvp (Half industry char mostly done missions + 0.0 ratting / standing farming for research) and I ask him if he's interested in having a wingman. To which he laughs in disbelief, understandable, as I still carry my old corp's ticker and a positive 3 security.(roles :/ ) I'll post the convo when I get home. Coulda been fun though. I start hopping around where Intigo says she's based out of, I'm hoping to wing with her when she's back (I use gender in reference to pic :p ) I jump into a .4, 3 in local, but only two in scan. Prolly a mining op with the third person shuttling ore. Even their corp name was something along the lines of "Tritanium Workers Galaxia" (can't remember exactly atm, typing this from work). I quickly narrow them down to a belt and initiate warp, scanner forum guides ftw. Ooh, this will be good, I turn fraps on to record my first pirate kill. -At this point my wife says something I still don't know what it was, (I hope it wasn't something like "I'm leaving you") breaking me from my state of anticipation and adrenaline while in warp. I say "Yarr, shiver me timbers woman! Can't ye see I'm busy being a pie-rat!?" I come out of warp and shout "From hell's heart I stabbath thee!!" I drop about 30km from a punisher & some other t1 frig... ratting a cruiser(?) in .4 "Odd" I thought to myself dismissivly. I kick in the ABII cruising at around 600ms It didn't take too long to get within 10km but he actually targetted me first. "Odd" I thought again as he turned on his scram. I unleashed hell with my 3 T2 Medium Pulses and a Nosferatu. 50% armor in no time. Tanking considerably well, however. Could take a minute. And then, that third person that was on local, however WAY out of scan range that I assumed to be docked pops right ON TOP of us. (Warp to 0 ftw) Holy ownage of death from a tempest multiple webbing + drones and omg =O. A well planned and executed trap by some pirates. I was in my home station faster than something really fast. heh. Nothing but feeling's of respect for a well thought out plan. I toss a convo to the person that got the kill mail, congratulating them on their well laid trap...and explain some of my thoughts on the situation (OMG A TEMEST AT 7.5Km). And how I fraps'd the whole encounter (I'll post that when I make it smaller). Turns out they invited me to join their corp, and we ganged for the rest of the night in search of prey sadly to no avail. They were kind enough to sell me back my t2 stuff too. lol. I've been playing for years, never really had the guts to pvp a lot (I always hated losing something 50x faster than you can make it, and ALL of my pvp attempts (maybe 15 or so) have been extremly poor/unlucky. I've relaxed though :) so it doesn't bother me so much anymore) and I have yet to get my first kill. I think I got an assist or two in the past, but it's been minimal. Watching Intigo take out a cruiser with her Rifter with less than 500k skillpoints has inspired me. For now I'll be out hunting, searching for that first act of successful piracy. Definetly a fun read and your wife seems like a great girl (on that note, I'm not female myself, I just thought the azn chick avatar looked way hawt). :) You should definetly keep up with the story-telling when you continue your acts of piracy as that was definetly more entertaining than anything I could produce (I liked the "stabbath thee!" part in particular)! Also, the Caracal fight was when I was still flying a Punisher actually. Moved to Rifter later, as they are (with T2 fitting) some of the best anti-stupid-Crow-pilot ships ingame IMO. And we sure did have a lot of stupid Crows in the area I flew in. Now let's see if I can scrounge up some cash for a new Hurricane.
