Yes ofcorse, one thread where one dev reply to one poster clearly represents the reality of EVE
<---now how do you like em apples?

If you don't petition, then don't ***** about nothing being done, and don't make the mistake of thinking that just because you petition someone, they're going to be banned for macro mining
Do you belive in Santa Claus? I think I stopped petitioning macro miners after (roughly) 50 cases wherwe thre reply I got were 'we wil look into it'.....guess what, nothing happened.
So basicly, because you don't like the response you get from a petition, it's the wrong decision by the GMs? Yes, that post does represent the reality of EVE. The reality of EVE is that there's alot of morons out there who ***** and moan because CCP doesn't bend over backwards for them, and they don't ban everyone that gets petitioned. The reality is also that 'farming' is not banned by the EULA, and if GMs investigate a 6 ship mining op, and it shows to have a human responding and controlling it, then they can't ban the person for 'macroing', and just because there's a good chance the person sells the isk after it's laundered, doesn't mean CCP can/will pre-emptively ban someone. While You and alot of other mindless trolls seem to think guilty until proven innocent is how it should be, that's not how any Online game, MMO or otherwise, policies the players.
The reality of EVE is that you and others are filling this game with far more crying and complaining than need be. Tons of bull**** posts with no evidence behind it and does nothing other than keep the wheels of the crying machine turning. If you'd ever worked for an online game, you'd know that people dont do 5 minute investigations to conclude whether a player is cheating or not. You have NFC as to how CCP's GMs do follow-ups to petitions, and while I'm sure CCP has slightly more advanced tools than what I'm used to from the MUDs and other games I've worked on, it's still not 'easy' like people like you seem to think it is.
And guess what, as I've said before, alot of 'macroers' aren't macros. If you're naive enough to think that CCP are going to ban first and ask questions later, then you're just hopeless. If a person is responding to the GMs when they check in on a petitioned group, and the GMs don't end up with enough evidence to label them as breaking the EULA (and again, 'farming' is only EULA breaking when you're using macros. Manually controlling 4-6 accounts is not breaking any rules), then they take action. If the GMs can't get the evidence they need, then too ******* bad. I'd like to seeall the isk farmers and macrominers banned tomorrow as well, but CPC isn't going to just outright ban everyone who's petitioned just because people 'think' they're farming isk to sell for RL $$.
And ofcourse I believe in saint nick.
Sorry you can't afford a dev so you get me instead ^^ - Xorus I hear Xorus is only 50 isk an hour - Immy Oooh that could get Suvetar for the day! - Cathath |
