You do not like when people show vids of current PvP status in Eve? are criticizing you, CCP? Going the I-Fear-the-revenge-of-the-terrorists-more-and-so-I-better-censor-way instead of facing criticism? Democracy works when people decide what to think about certain incidents and not so-called-experts in this case overmotivated moderators. Censoring critics on your game is not quite a smart way to handle with it, because it may produce even more attention. Sorry that I even dared to fraps the current no-lag state of TQ which you so often remind us of and then I had to put it into public on YOUR own board! What a boldness! You just moved my credit card info on my behalf into Å/dev/null.50 bucks less a month.
Enjoy!

Too bad the forums are neither a democracy nor 'free speech'.
You agree to those terms by logging in.

CCP are happy to listen to any criticism that is constructive - Sarcastic videos that don't say nothing new, don't offer a new perspective or solution are not welcome and they only serve to further alienate people.
Yes there is lag, yes - for what it's worth, I'm sorry - CCP have said many a time that they're developing new ways to combat fleet combat lag. There's no point starting a witch hunt about it. Plans are in the pipeline, it'll be done when it's ready.

Sorry, but I am too long in the game to fall for this. had several discussions with CCP + staff already and know what the response time is for emails/petitions. Didn't wanna do a century project out of it. And I wonder why you snipped your own locked thread where no content is in anymore anyways. Don't wanna have people see the censorship?
Edit: And I didnt see that it's forbidden to be sarcastic in your forum rules. Must've been my english black humor in that censored thread. x x x x x x x x x x x x x x

People shouldn't scream about freedom of speech so much, CCP is not based here in the US, and if you'd ever take them to court, you'd be doing so in Iceland, just incase any forum trolls care to threaten 'legal action' someday.

I also asked for clarification regarding the masking of swear words and the use of image macros, which Wrangler responded to in about 6 minutes

If you email us, you would find that we respond to emails a lot faster than GM's go through petitions. Also because allegedly it takes a long time to get a reply doesn't mean you dont send us an email. Assuming something regarding the rules may get you into real trouble.
Also CCP is aware of the lag issues. They read the forums and there have been plenty threads about it. Creating a video is not going to chage anything. Such threads are highly redundant.

Redundancy is a sign of importance in a community. Noone had such a vid posted before afaik and certainly it is my bandwidth on my root server which is used of the people downloading it (50 Gigs in those 3 days). So I assume it was of some kind of interest. Further I didn't rant at all in that thread rather used sarcasm to get along with it. And trust me, I was not slightly ****ed after I recorded that, I was majorly ****ed. And this was the nicest way to get rid of my anger about it. They do change something. They let people who feel the same way about it speak their mind and vent a little. CCP earns all the awards for this game, so they can take earning some redundant anger of the paying community as well if it helps venting. Censorship in such way just increases the anger instead of them getting rid of it. Easy as that. x x x x x x x x x x x x x x

sorry to say, but veterans leaving does NOT = noobs joing.
now, noobs joining may generate enough lag to = veterans leaving, and i doubt ccp wants to drive customers away, because eventually new ones will stop coming.
yes, its not perfect. no, no online game is. If there were a better one, you would have moved already, instead of trying to fight for the game you love. And while I can see your(the OP) intentions are honorable, attacking CCP is not the way to go about it. And while that may not be your intention, it might appear that way.
In the end, if you dont like it anymore, leave. That is your free speech. Post your evidence on your own site. CCP can regulate the private site they own anyway they like.

Edited by: Jim McGregor on 13/09/2006 19:28:00 I once mailed the mods to move a thread... it took them about 45 seconds.
c0rn1, I understand that you are angry about the current lagging state of the game (who isnt?), but you are applying the wrong tactics here imo. Do you feel that showing the game at its worst moments will make the devs work faster on solving it? Because I dont think they are ignoring the lag and are happy with the current situation at all. Even though I would love some communication about it with us so I dont have to assume things...
You arguing for free speach is really just because you want to make Eve look bad, but what purpose will it serve? You dont really want 100% free speach, trust me... then these forums will turn into crap over night. Im sure you realize what some people would post if they could post anything.

zomg111 the goose stepping agents of CCP are taking away my e-freedom. Get a grip, its not censorship to remove things critical of a company from their own property. And I find it terribly amusing that a AAA player is complaining about the state of current PvP.

Just for the record, no one gets to read the EULA until after the money is spent, and at least in the USA, few PC game stores permit refunds for games like EVE that have one-time use codes included with them.
So your advice is rather misplaced.

This is a bit OT but I'd be much more happier if eve-o's profanity filter would use wacky word replacements. Like "poo" would be trip, the f word would be love etc. Can't remember where I saw that in action but it was hilarious, people were basically spamming stuff like "Love you, mother's cookies! You need to hug me and cuddle others but not on this trip."

Good points but actually freedom of speech doesn't extend to privately owned bulletin boards anyway. The basic principal is that as they aren't actually a public space the operator has the right to edit them as they see fit. Freedom of Speech usually refers to government control in public areas. This is a private forum open to the public (and only those who have read the EULA) so the moderators can do what they want as long as they don't cause people to be misrepresented. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)
