Ok,here`s the object of my rant;
1-I had a ship destroyed in a mission,took 3 weeks+ to have my reimbursement petition answered with a positive answer....all good.
2-At the time,I was kinda broke...I had to deliver minerals (over 1bil worth) to get back on my feet (lost about 1 bil to gankers...thanks) so CCP`s GM asked me to reply to the petition when the iskies would be in...took me a couple days more,petitionw as closed,back to square one.
3-Do another petition I was told....back at the queue.
4-Got a message from another GM asking me if my petition is stil viable...of course it is,but would you CARE to leave the petition opened for more than a day?(not even 12 hrs in this case!)
Conclusion: I still want my ship back (duh) but I dont want to make a 3rd petition for it,I think i deserve more than that little game you seem to play lately.
Recommendation: If a player doesnt answer a petition right away,it could be for family emergencies,computer problems and whatnots...so try to keep them opened till they are really resolved...is that too much to ask?
Thanks for your attention and make me proud of being a part of this community.

Have customer service ask QA about bug reports... Ask them how long they keep them open after they have been "Fixed". Where I work we keep all our reports open until we feel that ALL ISSUES with that bug have been Fixed entirely. Sure, you can always reopen a bug, but its better to regress thoroughly than have to go back (which means the programmers have to go back as well).
The same goes for petitions. I feel for you safety, because I had a petition open and suddenly it just "timed out". I don't even know what happened, don't care either, but whatever. If I lost a ship and that happened I wouldn't be a happy camper.
Good luck. CCP's pretty busy right now. Hopefully things will be better soon<tm> (I'm thinking December or January).

"Soon" dosn't really cut it when it comes to replying to petitions.
I have a petition active from 8/19/2006, about a clear server bug (anyone who clone-jumped between the two server crashes that day had the same issue) and no reply AT ALL, not even an automated one.
