Just how manny wars can you have active at a time? We have 4 active wars and now M0O and LBC have just declared war on us bring us to a total of 6 active wars at once. how is that possible? I guess it will be a dawn of a new age for Techell. We will have to set aside our peaceful nature and take up arms to defend oursevles.

You can declare only 3 wars but people can declare as many as they want against you
(some n00bs even declare war twice against the same corp!)

It'd be nice if you could get rid of 'dead' wars. Then you wouldn't have to do an EV and create a corp just for a war.

As far as I know the "surrender" negotiation system is still bugged and inoperable.
What is supposed to happen is that both CEO's meet in a station.
One clicks "surrender"
A surrender window is opened (like a trade window)
Items and cash can be entered into the trade.
Both CEO's need to click accept.
Problem is;
Once the trade is agreed, the game system sends an evemail to both corps saying the war is over. But the war status doesn't get removed from the Corp Wars display.
This is fantastically irritating and I have been reporting it as a bug for the last 3 months.

Edited by: Indigo Seqi on 21/10/2003 15:19:00 Let's see how far Techell is on the path of the dark side as seen by the carebear demonisation mob.
Preliminary victim list: - Some beta corps I guess - TTI
Growth to very prominent and influential corp Check Jealousy and whining from the angry mob Check Accusations of unfair profits Check General demonisation by trolls Check Receiving war declarations In progress Accusations of exploiting In progress Accusations of employing dirty tactics Not initiated Getting lost in bad press, dirty politics and excessive bashing. Not initiated Becoming victim of increasing number of military operations Not initiated Problems beginning to affect corp health Not initated Dwindling power and capabilities Not initiated Leaving members Not initiated Turning into a ghost of the corp's former self Not initiated

There are alot that are looking forward to a war with these 2 corps. It will be interesting when in secure space considering most of thier members cannot go there. We are well prepaired for battle seems most of the corps that declared war on us up to now have been some alt corps.
This should add some spice to the game and will be interesting to see how long they can last. And from other postings I have seen they seem (TLBC) to be a mature and do not resort to flaming on the boards. This will be an interesting fight. -- Datsevlu Blow'em up we'll build more.

Totally interesting. PvP has a stiff learning curve, especially right now, but if your mineral stockpiles are as high as is rumoured, i'm guessing you guys can afford to lose a lot of battleships just to get some practice.

Ah well guess it's time to find a new system to sell npc loot in

Last post I saw has them at a phenomenal mineral stockpile. Cutting off their supply line won't have much effect. Or at least not a timely one.
Damage to their income from people avoiding the station might have a somewhat higher effect, though again they have a large isk stockpile as well.
Someone will have to cause Techell some fairly direct large amounts of damage, forcing them to dip into their mineral/manufactured item stockpiles to damage them. Assuming of course that damaging Techell is the point of the endeavor...

Edited by: agrizla on 22/10/2003 00:33:59 It's rather fun right now - Paddyman has left his corp in what is a pretty clear attempt to get Techell to fire at him (and then uber-Concord comes in of course). Comments made in the local channel by him makes it pretty clear he knows this is an exploit - that is if he returns to the corp he was in.
It is fun - grab some beer and snacks and come and watch

the worst part about camping techell is that there are so many sexey ships docking and undocking...must resist taking em down. Oh yeah, funny thing happened =) I was in empire space buying some skills and looking for a scorpion when my comrades went to Alga-whatever-Techell-HQ. We were sitting outside of a station when paddyman warped out somewhere and forgot his drones =) I was in a noob ship, but had a scrambler fitted cuz i felt like using one, so out of boredom i start scrambling paddy's drones =) Since then ive had my noobship blown up about 20 times by the friggin sentry gun =) Now im waiting for Techell to accuse us of can laggage -)

Good luck to the people trying to break the moral of Techell.:D
Scenario:
Techell pilot: "Woah! Nice explosion! This is the 15th Megathron i loose today... too bad. Mmmmhh, wondering wich BS i should get next. Maybe i will go for the Tempest. Ohhhh yes, the Tempy is soooo cool. At least i make some space in my ship hangar, i'm starting to get dizzy choosing amongst these 34 BS..."

Paddyman maybe you didn't read my post throughly but we did get our ships replaced you can check with gm arkanon here is a quote from the message we recieved from him :) "We're looking into the issue and I can tell you we don't like the idea one bit. Whether we will classify it as an exploit is another matter but I will point this out to CCP as it was certainly not meant to be a valid battle tactic. We have another petition about this incident involving Paddyman and it is being looked into."
"Ok, after investigating this matter I have decided to reimburse you the ship and items. This tactic is on the boarder of exploit and we are going to act upon it. I'm sorry for the trouble this has caused you but give me a few minutes to replace the ship." so haha we did come out on top after all :)

Edited by: Datsevlu on 22/10/2003 11:15:57 This is not the only exploit that was used. We had gunni locked down and he could not get away so what did he do, logged out like a coward afraid to loose his tempest. Then of course when he came back in Hey look at that did not show as a threat because he was not in his corp anymore. Pure cowardice if you ask me. And also another matter that CCP is looking into.
And just for all our customers and suppliers come sell your mins and buy your ships because if the splash damage from Moo or TLBC hit you then concord will get them (or us for that matter if the same thing happens) so don't be affraid to come to the station they can't hurt you in sucure space unless they declare war on your corp. And they only have 3 left that they can do so don't let them scare you with things they can't do.
Have fun guys. And so much for the honorable battle I was looking forward to have I hope TLBC fight with more honor then these guys. -- Datsevlu Blow'em up we'll build more.

Let me see:
TLBC and M0O declare war on Techell for fun, thinking Techell are just a bunch of corporate suits who don't know how to fight.
Techell actually start doing well against TLBC and M0O so the lame-ass pirates start using exploits to avoid losing ships.

sorry to tell u but this is not true.. i did NOT leave my corp... and if u are talking about when u guys all undocked and attacked me outside the station i had no chance to survive a fight against u all so i ran. i didnt log out and had no reason to do so since i had np running from u guys. the thing is that the grid in algogille is fokked. if u go 35 km away from the station u enter a new grid.

I hate it when there are grids near jumpgates/stations.
Should we report these cases to the GM's?
I'm wondering if the grids can be moved so that they don't cut across docking/undocking routes etc.

the grid is more fokked than that... u should try to go 40 km away from the station, or until u leave the grid, and then try moveing back to the station... i did that 2 times yesterday and it seems that the system is so bugged that it loses your cordinates... i undocked from the station and started moving away from it... 38 km out i left the grid and then started heeading back to the station.. when i was in 10 km range from it i enterd the station grid again but on my screen i was 10 km from the station but every1 else saw me as 35km from it... so the system is really fokked and me and a bughunter made a log of this and filed it in as a bugreport, so i hope that ccp will fix this soonÖ...

Ok that is good I am glad you did not use that expoit too. We were wondering why you just disapeared. So you admit to sitting on the edge of the grid to get away again still cowardice and if I remember correctly also stated by ccp during the fountain wars to be considered and exploit to purposly use these grids in such a manner. Either hardly honorable battle tatics.

yes.. u should report it as bugreport.. and its even better if u have the logserver running and send in the log file...
i have a bookmark in algogille that is close to the station where i can just sit and kill every thing that warps to the station (i have about 10-20 sec befor they enter the station grid) but i cant c whats at the station... so the devs really need to fix this..
