But they gave in and hired **ty EQ obsessed devs and the game absolutely sucked, bah i'm still ed about it >.< PvP in diablo2 was more fun than in WoW (minus the millions of hacks lol) I'm really really hoping that Warhammer is what WoW should have been. So far it has some promising poitns being that you can level up completely through pvp. However the so far lack of a death penalty has me worried in that it will just be a "zomg nubz rush teh enemy!" mentality to pvp. In rust we trust!!!**

Then they cancelled it, and gave it to some company who are making it another WoW-alike with cartoony graphics. ------

Pirates of the burning seas is nothing like eve pvp wise. you will ahve the choice to opt out of a fight. Goliath Scorpion The Buggers	Posted - 2006.09.16 06:00:00 - [5] Nah, Mythic have decided to be as unoriginal as possible and make it Dark Age of Camelot 2. 'RvR' just isn't PvP, far too organised for me. The only MMO in development I have my eye on is Hellgate: London.

I have faith that Mythic, even being dogs of EA now, will provide a suitably non-crap.. err, non-WOW experience. Since it's Mythic, they'll do everything okay at first. Nothing great, but they'll deliver a good, solid game. They'll then release an expansion that makes the game stand first among all other MMOGs - it'll be wonderful. It'll kill the level grind, it'll give the almost best equipment to player crafters, meaning no more six day camps to get a helmet of l33tness - and it'll even reward insane loonies by having 'better' than player crafted gear drop from six day camps. But 'better' in the sense that 'woo, one more point!' rather than 'LOL I R LEET I HAV TEH EQ I R BEAT JOO!' Shortly after that, someone at Mythic will go, "LOL EVERQUEST!!!!!!!!!!11111111".. Err, "LOL WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!!!!!!!!!!111111111" and completely ruin the game by adding in mandatory PvE content - which if you don't spend months doing, you'll be worthless in PvP. (Or 'RvR', as they call it.) The game's subscriber base will plummet - they'll attempt to fix it by releasing instanced content, which will do nothing but act as the final straw, as it will prevent players from ever needing to group ever again. The entire game world will seem deserted, and people will wander the empty shell of a planet, saying, "This sucks." before cancelling. That's my prediction, at least. "If God be for us, whom can be against us?"

Imagine how great it would be to play as a Imperial legionaire defending a outpost from, say, Orcs, or Chaos cultists, or whatever, in a FPS game....

For those fearing a cartoonly lame armor with paldrons that are bigger and taller then your head you will happy to know that there'll be nothing more outlandish then the models already are. This will definately be a PvP game. For example, the sea fortress of the dwarves is under seige. There is a ship in the bay to the fortress blocking the inlet so they can't put a chain across the inlet and box the dwarves inside. The dwarves will get a mission to assit the ship in some way and the orks will get a mission to stop them! The scenery is very pretty. Also "classes" will be very important. I chose to be an Ironclad and wail on some orkish scum but all of my "PvE" skills and the like were awful! ------------------ CEO of TKI
