Step 1) : Make an auto-miner feature for EVE that completely automates the tedious mining operations we all must use in EVE - make this very sophisticated and very powerful - able to use Indy's and Giant Secure Cans the works.
Step 2) : Everybody mines all the roids in EVE using their auto-miner but most people will begin to buy additional accounts... I have 2 now just to support my own mining operations.
Step 3) : CCP makes more money. CCP has to install more servers to keep up with the users.
Come on Devs... Even SWG allows people to record and playback in-game macros... - lol

EVEN BETTER! WHY MINE AT ALL?! Why doesn't CCP just GIVE US ALL the ISK equivlent of 24 hours of mining every day? That way, only people who needed minerals for production would play miner characters. And then....
No... HOLY COW!!
MAKE EVE A SCREENSAVER! THATS IT! We could just make Eve a screensaver with a chat client and just watch the pretty stuff go by while we talk to friends!

there has to be one down side to this auto mining thing. Whoever has it turned on, sends out a beacon that informs everyone in the area that you are afk mining, and Concord will ignore any attacks against the afk miner.

Nice to see we have nobody in this game with an imagination let alone any intelligence ! - lol
You already got an Autopilot and offline skill training as well as offline builds and offline lab research ! Why not go one more and give us offline auto-mining ? I guarantee people are already doing this using available technologies that are very easy to setup... - hehe.
Of course "I" never cheat by using macros - lol ! I prefer to mine the old-fashioned way... by sitting at the computer mindlessly watching ore slip from my BS to my Indy... - lol

Why not turn off all the servers, send out an email everyday saying "You earned X amount of isk" and simply collect checks every month? If they lowered the price to around $3.99 per month, could prolly pick up a real game and play at that point.

Who was the bright spark at ccp who thought up the idea of draggin ore from your cargo to can in the first place?
Lets look at the big picture here, we currently are at tech lvl 1 (cept miner 2's) and for example cruiser mining with half decent skill requires you to stagger your lasers/drones and still drag ore every 10 seconds. Whats it going to be like with more powerful mining lasers and advanced mining skills? CCP can s*ck my balls if they think im going to sit there for hours at a time dragging ore every two seconds.
I agree macro's being used for any other purpose other than draggin ore to a can is a cheat and should be banned. Luckily the server does not realistically support advanced macro's, hell it dosn't even support playing the game as it was intended.
CCP wont be able to stop simple 3rd party macro's from draggin ore to a can without spamming us with some kind of pop up bs. Make a ingame ore dragger, hell stick it in an expansion and charge us 30 quid for it. This will stop the whining, bound to reduce the number of petitions from whiners, and will give those people with high morals & people who are really clueless and cant set one up for themselfs an equal playing field.
To combat afk miners, make the ingame macro so that it only works in systems with a npc threat, (0.8 and below).
If it continues the way it is, i wonder if in a few months time we can all sue ccp for rsi?
**Personally i have a messed up right wrist, (put it thru a window while ****ed and messed up the tendons) can provide certification to prove this. I can mine without a macro for around 30mins before it starts to get painful. No way am i going to pay for a game which i can only play for 30mins a day and causes me pain in doing so.

Ive used my mouse in my righthand for too many years to change now, I can play FPS's nps as the movement tends to be all over the desk, not the same 10mm up and down movement repeated 3600 times an hour that is known as eve mining.
Never had one that lasted 30mins so that has yet to cause my wrist any pain and most of the time my partner is doing it for me

You seem the type of person that has a mini fridge at your desk because the real one is a whole room away and there's no one else there to get you your soda. I'm also betting your computer chair smells like sweat and old cheese.

Someone call a WHAAAMBULANCE. Maybe you need to drop down to CUs and fit a few expanders. Or invest in a bigger ship. I'm sure Eltigre will sell you all the ISK you need to buy one. You know, cause it's all about your hand's health and not at all about greed. Or maybe it's just hard to mine with a thumb in your mouth.
There ya go folks - those are the flames. I hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them. And I hope no quadraplegics were harmed in the reading of this rant. You pay your $12 a month and deserve to mine with a stick in your mouth just like the next guy. |

What would the sense be in changing 5 miner 2's to 5 cu vapors? Next you'll be telling me to ditch the 10 harvester drones and use basic There is nothing wrong with my ship setup, its a mining ship and mines as fast as it can for a thorax.
I'll keep using the ore draggin macro thanks, I never afk mine, so..... catch me if you can.
