That was one hell of a video. The fights, the footage, the editing and the fights again are amazing. The way you slapp people around with a large tuna in that video is unbeleveable.
This is a MUST wiew for all the PVP-lovers out there.

As for people asking about the setup, I would guess that it would be something like:
4x 220mm II, 2x Assault Launchers
MWD, Scram, Large Shield Extender II
3x Gyro

Well hooray, i wondered when someone would come out with something clever like this, despite the caption clearly stating "Imperial Order - Mining during wartime..."
I suppose you didn't notice the Rupture shooting at me during that one, or any of the actual fights, just that one ship in the entire movie had mining lasers...

Very nice vid... No wonder the vagabond is one of the most popular HACs. I wonder why this doesn't apply for the stabber... my bet is Halo implant and nanos in low. Projectiles falloff range 4tw. Nonetheless, good vid, maybe only one thing, if u can be bothered... if u will it, try frapsing in 1152x864, so the quality is crystal clear; coz the quality of the movie should equal the skills of the piloting. Keep them coming, Yuki Li.

Yeah I was wondering that. It seems if you ever got webbed you'd be toast against the thorax. Either the rax pilot didn't web you for some reason? Or you stayed out of web/nos range. But that brings up the question of how can your auto cannons hit that far out? Sorry I don't fly minmatar ships so im not sure on range but im guessing AC are very short.
Are the skills to improve falloff range that good? Just curious. And yeah 1152 x 864 would be very sexy. Again great vid.

He was never within 10km for more than a second or two. It's fairly easy to get 180 IIs to around 9km falloff range.

180 II's on a stabber with only reasonable skills can net 14km falloff + 2.5km optimal, with barrage, barrage is the key.

As has been already said, the t2 autocannons with barrage will hit well to about 15km, and will hit less reliably out even further than that, so unless its in the bag already, there's not much need to go in and get webbed.

Alright. I'll admit that even made me consider flying a Stabber. Just for a moment.
And I won't fly Stabbers.
Very well produced video, good pace and timing in it, and looks like good amounts of fun was had during the filming.

I been toying with the idea of a cheap cruiser(stabber) for some fun PvP duoing with a corp mates AF while i train my skills upto AF. This video convinced me to give it a try. Just need abit more missle skills and i'll be set i think. Nice video, good material.

Nice Vid, although have to say not sure what I was expecting to see, from the comments posted I was expecting some amazing stabber set up that totally onws everything in it's path.
But as this video has proved even a stabber flown by a very good pilot is still a crappy ship.

Not sure how the video proves that. But I imagine it is just opinion as the Stabber is a nice cruiser if you know how to fly it. :)

My point being I am not a big fan of the stabber, I know Yuki is a good pilot, and when i watched the video I saw just what I expected to see a sub standard ship flown well. He takes out inty's and the odd cruiser ( a shield tanking thorax i may add) and a mining BS.
I would have been interested to see what would have happpened if the Rupture had stayed around in the first fight. But the vid just reinforced for me that the stabber is good killing support and works well in cruiser gangs but does not have the slot layout to stand up against a rax or rupture. Thats all i meant.

Usually the Stabber with destroy a Thorax regardless of how peculiar the tank is on the basis that it can hit from 15km, and a thorax flat out can't apart from drones, which are killable..
I did have a recording of a fight with a Rupture - but he had two tracking disruptors, and it was basically a stalemate, he couldn't pin me down and i couldn't do enough damage to kill him...
It'll kill a surprising amount of stuff, it just happens to be rather superb at nailing interceptors in particular

Dude, a stabber always loses to a rax. The raxes didnt have an mwd or something. They prob weren't even setup for pvp or the pilots were a week old. If they had been the stabber would run out of cap trying to stay out of web range very quickly and either warp off or die. Some of the vid was good but it was mostly just killing t1 crap. |

You can fit a stabber to run a mwd pretty much constantly. Certainly a common rax will run out of cap chasing you before you do. Remember, speed is the tank here and if you are needing that mwd on your stabber then you need to fit for low cap recharge/boosters etc A rax however is almost always banking on hitting that mwd a couple times only to get in to web range, not run for long time.
So no, a stabber certainly does not always lose to a rax.

The Thorax is slower and heavier, and has much closer range weapons. It's very, very easy to stay out of web range in a Stabber. Indeed, the Thorax that died in the video didn't have an MWD, he had an Afterburner, but the Rax i was working on before i got jammed, i'm pretty sure did have an MWD. So did the pirate Vigilant that just about escaped in lowsec, and the Thorax that de-agressed and jumped out with heavy damage a few jumps outside VFK...
From experience, the Stabber will beat a Thorax
