Well, I just wondered what happened to the feature of the JumpClones.
I got podded and just waited for the menu to select, in which JumpClone I wanna wake up again. Nothing like this happened and instead I woke up directly in a fresh new Clone, where my MainClone was installed.
Here is the funny one about that circumstance. I did not woke up in my MainClone with the Implants installed, but in a totally new one. So now I have a totally useless JumpClone one Station further in the same Solarsystem
Others of my mates did not even woke up in the Station where they had installed their MainClone but somewhere else. Even if they had chosen to Jump into the one they left behind in the Station where the MainClone is installed
So, when this is going on this way, then someday I will have 5 JumpClones in the same Solarsystem next to my HQ without the chance installing some futher JumpClones in the desired Regions.
I guess this has to be inspected, or will this be this way fom now on?!?

It was always this way, that you are revived in your normal clone and not in any jumpclone.

Thats exactly how jumpclones work. They have almost nothing to do with normal clones, you use jumpclones by rightclicking on the desired clone in your Character sheet/jumpclones, and chose "Clone jump".
Thats how you move them around too, jump into one, move it to another station and jump back to another clone.

Because they are clones that you jump to?

You just don't get it, eh?!?
I was podded in a JumpClone and did not woke up in my "normal" one. Others of my mates tried to jump back into their "normal" Clone and woke up in a different one.
So maybe know you understand, what I'm talking about.
Jumping does not work anymore properly

its been working perfectly ok for me...
everything you describe in your first post is exactly the way its always worked..
Ok, so you died and ended up in the clone you had "created" originally (via upgrade clone or whatever on the main medical screen)
You then jumped into another clone and no longer want the clone that was left behind? destroy it. its not the clone you have for when your pod-killed.

You guys really don't get it
I was podded and did NOT wake up on my original clone!!! I woke up in a new clone, but on the same Station as my ORIGINAL!!!
So when this is going to be on and on, I will have 5 JumpClones at the same station someday

Where was your medical clone while this was happening?
See, when you die you are supposed to wake up in your medical clone, not your jump clone. If your medical clone and jump clone are in the same station then you should wake up in the same station as your jump clone but without your implantsą Because thatĘs where your medical clone was too.

Sure my medical clone was installed at the same station where I left my original.
So when this is supposed to be this way, then I wonder, why some of my mates woke up in a station where they did not install their medical clone, but 5 jumps away. They woke up in a different Region as well
And when this is supposed to be, then I die 5 times and after that I have 5 clones at the same station?!? That would make it impossible to install a JumpClone anywhere else

you always wake up in a new clone after getting podkilled no matter if you have a stored jumpclone at that station or not that's how it works and should work
if you want to jump back into your clone with implants that's your choice then the current clone will then become a clone you can jump to later or go back to the station, open medical service and destroy it (so better leave the clone without implants at a station with medical)
or I'm just one of the multiple k Eve players that don't get it and just use it

Jump Clones are COMPLETELY SEPARATE from standard medical clones. A standard clone is the old type, the kind you upgrade to hold your SP and end up in when podded. It is set wherever you place it. It has nothing to do with jumpclones. ----------
I say what I mean, but I don't always mean what I say. |

You can only have exactly one clone at any given station.
The original is the body you're in.
If you get podded, you always wake up in your medical clone - without any implants. If it isn't sufficiently advanced to hold your current SP at the moment of being podded, you lose SP.
Jumpclones are alternate bodies that can have implants plugged in. The inactive implants will have no influence on your attributes or your ship and combat in the case of hardwirings. You will never wake up in one of them unless you jump into it from a station. --*=*=*--

Grytock, check the guide, from what I have read your jumpclone is fragged. As you activated the medical clone, the jumpclone in the same station was cancelled. If you read the treads about jumpclones, leaving a jumpclone in the same station of your regular clone is a very bad idea, especially if the jump has implants.

OK, I always wake up in the medical one. So far so good.
But why is it then, that some of my mates wake up in a station different to the one, where they installed the medical?!?
Something just don't function here

They should end up in the station where they installed the medical - unless the medical one was in a conquerable station and got moved.
BTW I have tried medical and normal clone in the same station with no problems, I heard rumours of a bug but I think it was fixed a long time ago. The only restriction I have found is clone jumping out of a station where you already have a jump clone.

Grytok, ***all*** of your pod-flying bodies are clones. You can have up to 7 clones (one active, 5 "jump clones" and one medical clone) with Infomorph psychology L5.
The active clone is, well, "you", for the time being. Jump clones can become "you" at any time, and the old "you" becomes a jump clone, once every 24h, and the bodies keep implants. Medical clones replace a destroyed active clone ("you being podded"), and it's always a "blank" clone (no implants)
Medical clones can be UPGRADED to hold more SP, but they are also BASED somewhere. Where they are based, it's listed in the medical menu too. You can change where they are based for a modest fee (5k ISK or so) Upgrading a clone does NOT cause a base change, you can upgrade the spare clone you have on the other side of the galaxy.
As for where you can base your MEDICAL "revive" clone... you can select ANY station your company has offices in AND the currently docked station with medbay. __ Always question everything. Including yourself. |
