well, my skill finished 21 minutes after dt should end. and i now lost 2 hours of skill training with that character.
no, i'm not complaining, stuff happens... that's life...
but i was able to login on the website. and look at the skills there...
now i cannot get into the game to change the skills... but the website works... why not build a function on the website to change the skills? and if you build it so you can only train skills you have already trained... so no new skills that are in your hanger...

A web-based skill trainer would soon become an automated character factory. It would be quite easy to write a program that logs onto your character and changes skills at exactly the right time without CCP knowing any better. Forcing players to use the EVE client at least lets the devs add some measure of protection against automated macros.

I have heard a Dev talk about other things with a similar effect though - such as allowing you to specify a skill for long term skill training which starts as soon as you finish short term skill training, or a limited skill training queue.
