Over the months of playing EVE ive come to realize that the customer support that is offered to its players is less than compentent. GM's tell you they have no logs of lost items that seem to disapear. I really wonder if the cust support is subcontracted out by ccp or if it is ccp employees. My guess is subcontracted as they dont give a **** about most of anything.

The GM's only have so much power. If you lose something, post a bug report, then work at getting your item again. Don't reproduce the bug over and over and lose ship after ship, or implant after implant. That's just not smart. Sure it may suck losing a battleship or something, but it's not the end of the world. GM's are probably looking at hundreds of "lost" items every day. Most of them are probably scams anyways. If you think you can do a better job as GM, then apply for the position. See it from their point of view.
I actually enjoy having threads locked. I'd rather read constructive eve related topics than hear a bunch of people complain about stuff. When a poster's topic is "Pro's and con's of titans" I don't like to go through tones of posts that have statements totally unrelated to titans an eve. I'm still new to the comunity, but as of yet I haven't seen a locked post that I didn't think deserved it.

To answer your question, yes support is subcontracted out.. CCP is a small company it makes more sense for them to do so.. However as you so politely pointed out it has its drawbacks..

"Well I have seen the contestants and I feel that I am especially attracted to Veridet Faulk. I know that she is a member of the Polaris Corporation that operates inside Jove space, and JovianĘs are particularly hideous, but she is different. I feel particular heart warming friendliness from herą if you know what I mean"- Playboy Enterprises Forum Rules | EVE Online Support |

Have to say worst service I have experienced, and I thought GOA was bad enough...then again they also use the "Rightnow-or-never" system as well. Similarities are frustratingly familiar.

Each and every time I've dealt with Customer Service, I've recieved prompt, concise and incredibly helpful advice.

Lost 14 miner II's - got them back. Stuck - was freed (over and over). Needed special permission to do something my license oterwise prohibits - granted.
I have asked and recieved replies (sometimes late, but mostly promptly).
I have played since may. I am quite satisfied with the service. --------------------------------------------- When you have to kill a man, it takes nothing to be polite |

Indeed and then there are some people that love to whine and cry like a baby on these forums in a impressive display of constructive sophistication and maturity.
