No, I don't know.
I haven't seen a single que yet.
Oh, and can you people please get it thru your heads the whole system/constellation/node thing? It'd make these threads just a bit less tedious. ___________________________________________ The deeper you stick it in your vein, the deeper the thoughts there's no more pain. ___________________________________________

You're just unlucky then. I haven't encountered a single queue to enter Rens, and I've had to run through there several times in the past few days.

As a way of showing their Manchu heritage, the leaders of the Qing dynasty required that all males shave their foreheads and braid their hair into a queue. During the reform period of the early 20th century, revolutionaries cut off the queues of other males to signify their struggle against the Qing regime.
I'm guessing the OP is one of those people who got his queue cut off.

Haha, I remember in beta-test it was 50% queueing on the server (when it was not down). Well at least some point...

For christ sake...
It's not about the number of people in the SYSTEM. It's about the number of people on that NODE. -

The server cluster is split into node. The node may be assigned just one system (i.e. for places like Jita) or a group of systems.
The system you went through was obviously on the same node as another, or several others, which were a lot busier than the 16 people you saw.
This has been explained several times on the forums and some of us are getting a little peeved that people still moan about issues when 'theres only 2 people in local' or whatever.
Yes, queues suck but the number of people in the system you are in is nothing to do with it, it's numbers on the node.

That maybe, but being stuck in a pirate infested .2 system in a 3bill isk ship at a gate for 10mins at number 1 in queue is not my idea of fun.
Needs fixing / changing END OF STORY.

Took me about... 8 or so minutes to enter a 6 person system.
Even better, someone was there before me, and took them half an hour to enter the same system.

You don't like queues? then avoid the system. thats the point. or would you rather sit undocking for 15 minutes without an explanation? they've no choice, either move out of those high population systems, or this will get worse.

I've gotten queues travelling through series of systems with zero people in each.

Edited by: Weirda on 20/09/2006 20:20:11 maybe system should make you cloak/invuln while in queue...
would prolly be exploited though (unless you were forced to sit there and couldn't change you mind/warp off)...
and OP - people are trying to tell you that it doesn't matter if there are 16 people, 0 people or 100 people to the system you jumping into. while that may not make you feel better, could you please stop ignoring it for sanity sake?!!
if the NODE is busy - it is busy. if you came from system with 50, guess what? it prolly same node as next door...
does this mean queues don't suck ass? no it doesn't mean that. but don't be ignorant! __ Weirda Join QOTSA Now Stealth Bomber Tweaks |

Erm high pop ?, was in middle of low sec in one of lowest pop areas... 6 people in local. I know, yes... on a node shared with a high pop system but how am I meant to know this and avoid it.
I'd rather be stuck docked than floating around with no chance of moving...It's like we now have a random chance of jumping or not, whats the point.
May as well have a random self destruct on ships as well while we at it
