Hey guys, im looking for a good performing laptop that will last me quite some time and ran into this.

Hehe ok then what do you recommend? I want a very high performance laptop with a decently big screen.

Mine cost ú2000 as opposed to 1,200 because i fully upgraded the processor and memory card which isnt upgraded on the ebay auction.
oh and if u ask why im getting such a powerful computer, its becaue this will be used as my "desktop" for the next 3-4 years at uni.

Do u guys think 2 GIG is a good idea?
Its 211 pounds more which is quite a bit.

So in order to remain dual channel i would need to have 1x1024 and not 2x512mb right?
I will have to ask if that is possible
