I just started using torpedoes this last week. In hindsight I now realize that I had seen them in use by NPC ships from time to time but now I had not really been paying attention. Now I have come to realize that I absolutely love to shoot these great big (slow) glowing balls of plasma at my foes. I haven't had this much fun with a weapon system since I first tried medium beam lasers (x-ray or standard crystals are my favorite colors). Anyhow... what weapons system LOOKS the coolest to you?? Is this another case of the Matari race in last place?

Torps and Tachyon beams, I'd say. Tachyons would be the stereotypical "pew pew lazers" weapon. Big beams lancing down at your target.

Yeah, matari guns don't look great, but to enjoy them, you need to have the sound on and listen to the tacatac of hi calibers autocanons and the deep "boom" of 1400mm Howitzers (putting too much bass will annoy your neighbours though)

If you begin to PVP... and you stick with missiles... I suggest you invest in some stock in a keyboard company... because as you watch those lovely glowing lights fly off into nothingness you will Kung Fu Iron Palm your keyboard.

LOL - yeah these torps are definately not for PVP. I was shooting some random belt frigate (NPC frigates!!!) and they were outrunning my torpedoes. Still they looked awesome as they followed the frigates around.

Tachyons, which coincidentally have the sweetest sound as well.
I do love the Heavy Beams on my Prophecy as well, though. I wish Heavy Pulses were modelled in the same way, just with stronger chunks of light pulsing through the beam. It's sexy watching your ship light up with the crystal colours.

Torps are by far the prettiest weapons... next closest imo is AC's. They look pretty sweet too once you get the RoF excessively low on them.

A Rook had fired on me some heavies and I was running fast enough with my Eris for them to take awhile to get me ... was so much fun (I had buzzed 2km from the rook, left a bubble and continued going forward)

I like Hybrids if you slow them down (I think its rail guns that look cool), also torps and the blue lasers.

A BS size weapon not being able to damage frig effeciently - the outrage 
Anyway, lasers look the best IMO. Also as weapons on a ship.

well probably my favorite looking weapon system in the game is the quad-light beam laser, it's great how it fires two diffrent thin beams per shot, gotta be looking closely to see it though :(

Thunderbolt Missles allways reminded me of Quantum Torpedos with their blue glow, maybe other EMP warheads are the same.

I've seen a t2 railgun firing on a screenshot, sadly not yet "live", but it looked damn good. Besides that i really like beam lasers. And Blasters for the big bang
