Allow me to remove your confusion. The Iron Tide poster is for ALL subscribers. A subscriber is someone who has ordered a subscription, i.e. an order for four issues. If your subscription order includes issue #005, you will receive the Iron Tide poster. So, if you started your subscription with #002, #003, #004 or #005 - you will receive the poster (this is unheard of in magazine publishing circles - subscription offers are normally for new subscriptions only. If you order a single copy of #005 you will not receive the poster.

Additionally. For my part, I would like to publically thank Fran "Herko Khergans" Macjus for providing the inspiration for the story "The Dragon". I'd been thinking of writing something like this for years, Fran, but you helped to finally give it shape just by writing. That piece is dedicated to you, friend. Haak-kin klen.

Not only will I get EON nr 5 very very soon, but I will get a very nice poster too!
But the cherry on the piece of cream pie is ofcource the reprint of EON nr 1, which OFCOURCE is already ordered.

There was never any promise to release any part of EON as a pdf. There was an intention to release the Chronicles at some point to the website, but MMM (me and Xicon) and CCP (Gnauton) have been slow in banging heads together. We have a meeting with CCP soon and we'll discuss it then, along with ideas to take the magazine forward (which I'd love to tell you all about, but Xicon would put a bounty on my head*.)

It will be very easy to differentiate #001.1 from #001. The cover of the reprinted version very clearly indicates that it is a re-issue.

There has indeed been no promise from CCP to release older EON magazines as PDFs. It has however been promised that material released in EON concerning the game and gamemechanics would be released in devblogs a few months after an EON magazine was released as to not make EON subscribers a first rate class citizen in terms of info on where EVE is going. Imo that's not been fullfilled.
Making them downloadble PDF was merely a suggestion to make that info available, you can even cut out all the guides, short-stories and other stuff and just leave the articles on where EVE is going.

Hm, ive never recieved a poster with my EON magazines, but i really want this one.
Just a question though... is the poster on normal paper or is it the glossy types like the ones in the store? Also, is it going to be folded or in a tube?

Yes!!! Please don't fold this great image up. The last poster I got was pretty trashed by the time it made it to Australia.
There were dents and marks all across it which really wrecked it for me.

Apologies for the stupid question (and also if this has already been asked and answered ... on a mobile phone here atm, and the CCP pages eat bandwidth) but in regards to the #001 reprint, there was mention that this would be subtley altered from the original?
Is this true, as being somewhat obsessive about Eve collectables I'm sort of tempted to get the reprint to sit along side my original so as to keep my collection complete.

EON made it through my letter box this morning, cue arguements with the Mrs over poster placement. Looks like a fantastic issue and as soon as I get back from the school run I'll actually get to read it provided I can clear up the drool.
Anyone got any advice on the best way to get the creases out of the poster? Im considering ironing it face down with a towel or two on top of it but Id hate to mess it up.

Havent got mine yet... :/ Bloody Royal Mail... It takes 40 minutes from London to Amsterdam by plane and vica versa yet Royal Mail seems to manage for mail to take one to two weeks to arrive... :/ Ow well at least my EON#1 arrived (with a transponder to track time to delivery apperantly lol, seems more Dutchies are having probs with Royal Mail)... :)

Woot, I got #5 today! It came with a tracking transponder thingymajig which I have to send back appearantly.
Now all I need is #4, which still hasn't made it through the system yet. I expect it'll arrive tommorow or something.. sods law.

As for how to de-crease it, here is the answer from Yahoo! Answers

E-on #5 is dangerous to ones health!! Well at least that unopenable envelope is!
On the way home yesterday I stoped at the mail box and there it was in all its glory! Now I am not that dumb, I waited till I got home. Huged the kids, kissed the wife, checked the kids homework, and checked on dinner prep. I had some time, so I went looking for a nice private place to read my new treasure.
Well the bathroom it is, I seclude myself behind solid oak doors, get comftable upon the kamode, and go to open this spiffy white envelope...(damn this thing is tuff!) Well, cant tear, peel, or other wise gain access to my new reading material, and see the "cut here" label....Ah ha!
Wait, I am multitasking, getting up and finding a 'safe' cutting tool would be a little messy.
Wait! I have on my belt, a nice cutting tool! So I grab my Tanto style tactical (I keep it very sharp). Activate the thumb device, and.....ouch!!!
My thumb sliped...
So I stuck my thumb in my mouth and opened the envelope anyway.
Nice read, little bloody....and I sucked my cut thumb the entire time I read the thing.

Does this really work? The iron I can understand (for the love of God, turn the steamer OFF!), but the glue stick? Is it supposed to help prevent wearing the paper when folding the creases backwards? It sounds odd.

I just dragged the creases over the edge of my desk, worked pretty nicely. Not perfectly, but its all i can do lol.
East coast US, New York City, got my copy yesterday. Its great.
I LOVE the chronicles, 200 rounds being my favorite, the ending really shocked me. I also felt the guy's pain in the first chronicle ("My Better Half").
Oh yea, i love how you guys stuck the last chronicle, "The Dragon", which was about planetary bombardment right after the article on planetary interaction :P
One thing though... i thought the test flight this time was supposed to be on assault frigates?

I most say that E-ON is worth every single Euro. Good job CCP.
One thing that should be improved though, is the way you send posters. The poster that came with #5 is looking so good that i really would like to have it on my wall, but one thing keeps me from doing that. The poster was send folded. I wouldn¦t mind having paid just a bit more for receiving the poster in a pipe instead.

Every single copy of EON I've gotten has a big ******* crease/fold down the centre of it.
Slide it in a little tiny carboard box. SOMETHING.
It's bad enough when the (awesome, yes) posters are folded and have huge crease marks. But the goddamn magazine that I've paid for?
It's stupid. Raise the price by 50 cents an issue if cardboard is scarce in the UK.
But FFS, stop letting the mailmen off so goddamn easy when it comes to "Oh I'll just fold this thing into the mailbox"

A 'deluxe' packing option could be possible - it's something that may have to be looked into. In the meantime I suggest you have a word with the guy delivering your mail, because if every EON is arriving creased, I'd imagine he's the culprit and unless you have an unnaturally tight hole, or highly-sprung flaps, he's no right to treat your precious that way.

It has been with the two different mailmen EON has gone through. Initially to my parents house, then to my new place. Both were creased. It's a standard mailbox too.
There isn't a big red "DO NOT FOLD" sticker anywhere, not that it makes any difference generally, as well.
Maybe a nice warning on the packaging that "Folding this magazine may result in the release of anthrax" or something.
Wait...CCP would prolly get bombed for being an OMG TERRARIST organization then.

I agree, i will happily pay... I have already went out and bought a nice frame for the first poster you gave(the one with the galaxy map of eve) and have it hung over my pc, looks sexy... is also quite useful to :)
I also have the Gallente race poster in which i got that and a copy of the retail CD that you have available in the store(the silver one) i then opened up the cd case so its 3 sides long with the cd showing, i then got it and the poster and organised them in a frame with the poster on top and the cd case slightly lower. Looks absolutely brilliant...
Now i have a god almighty great big poster that looks amazing and because of the folds it would look pants in a frame. Im still happy i have it though :p But im more than happy to pay extra to get the posters shipped in the holders that you send the purchased posters in.

Haven't received my copy yet as well, corpmate same country (netherlands small country ;)) got it a week ago :| I'm starting to doubt myself if I renewed my subscription but I'm 99,9% sure of that (the .1% is because I don't have it yet :P)

I have no problem with the poster, looks just as good on my wall.

I just received mine in Australia and it looks great.
The thing that really bites is that my poster is just utterly trashed. Infact it came back worse than the eve map we got last time.
Its a crying shame as I love the pic that was on this poster (in fact it made me sign up for another sub as soon as I saw this).
Is there any chance that we can get the posters mailed some other way for us international customers? Any chance on getting another posted as the one I received just looks like crap (no point getting it laminated etc) after international shipping trashed it through the really thin and non-padded bag it came it. Surely the bags can at least be padded.

got mine 2 hours after i wrote my post yesterday :D
Anyway, packaging:
Stuff a cardboard plate in there to back the mag etc, instead of just letting it flap loose.
Also, make the envelop fit the mag, and don't use some standard ones in which the mage gets screwed up...
You could also try simply sealing the mag (like others do)

I have a request for a poster actually, I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue:
The poster with the 4 titans in it is really cool and all, but makes it impossible to see detail on any of the small ships, they're simply washed out.
Can we get a poster just like the one with all the ships in, but that excludes the Titans? There was a previous edition of this picture somewhere. I'd love to put that on my wall.

Well, I haven't got mine yet. My order even shows the date wrong. It says I placed my order on March when I placed it on November 2nd. It shows the magazine shipping in June 11, my credit card got charged on November 6th, and I still don't have the magazine. I sent an e-mail to the publishing company 3 days ago and no word from them.
What's going on here?

What's going on here is that a) you are confusing American dating system with European (6/11/06 is 6th November, not 11th June), and b) MMM Publishing has been at the Fanfest. Your email response will follow within 24hours once we return (posting this from Keflavik airport en route back).

OK, thanks for clearing that up. However, I placed my order on the 2nd, looks like it shipped on the 6th, and today is the 13th and it hasn't arrived. Is there any way to track it? The previous magazines arrived fairly quick, I'm concerned about this shipment.
