I would like to see a push to clean up the forums. A great place for player information both for and from CCP.
In some ways I am an OCD person and one of those is online/computer sorting of files.
Layout thoughts.
F&I
-Stickies
-folder/group Friagtes
-folder/group Planetary Interaction
-folder/group Highsec ganking
Etc.
Also the introduction of a tag system that would sort your newly created post into the proper group.
But why?
Many of us know that the search function for the forums is not the best or just don't have any luck finding what we are searching for when we use it.

Many of us know that the search function for the forums is not the best or just don't have any luck finding what we are searching for when we use it.
With all the threads in F&I that start with a phrase similar to "I don't know if this has been posted.." when there's an identical thread on the first page of F&I, it's a lack of use of the search function that is the problem, not the search function itself. Besides, when internal search fails, Google always finds it.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.

Yes, google does.
But some sort of tag-system could clean it up even more...
Specially if when your creating your post, that you had to tag it first. and it would bring up a list of post already on that topic.

Reviewing the forums in general wouldn't be a bad idea. Granted, the resources may not be available for a broader forum overhaul, but having 38 subforums purely for Eve (not counting Dust/Valk/foreign language) seems a bit excessive. They might need to be consolidated/merged rather than expanded further. It's not new player friendly, and it's marginalising certain subforums and topics because casual users can't be arsed rummaging through so many different areas.
If you are monitoring specific threads in F&I an option might be to allow you to create your own folder headers within favourites? No idea how the techy side works, but quick fixes are probably more viable than large scale implementations.
