Normally I am not one to complain, however, after taking a couple of weeks break from eve, i come back to find that my account has been screwed, and my characters stolen. I discovered this after i renewed my subscription, and its taking a hell of a long time to sort it.
The part that is annoying me is, i have paid for a monthly subscription and i cant even play with my OWN characters. Normally whenever i have sent a petition before, CCP have done a standup job. While the initial GM who responded to my petition was spot on, the senior staff seemed to have forgotten about the problem.
Is this becoming standard practice for the way paying customers get treated? I am kept in the dark with no update of the process, surely it cant be hard to just transfer them back.

yeah they are seriously lacking in the customer service/petition end of things atm. Its a nasty circle, server problems = petitions, more petitions = less individualized customer service. Seems that CCP is growing faster than they can keep in shoes. Please do not discuss moderation in your forum signature - instead, email us at [email protected] if you have a question - Jacques |

It may even be possible that they are examining exactly how the other person obtained the characters and trying to decide if there are bannings to be handed out.
That type of thing isn't just done without examining details.

well, if they have say 100 gm's, and 1 senior gm.. and 20 gm's reference the senior gm.. then you can see the workload he/she has to deal with.
I find that the gm's often do well with most things, and I rekon than anything "account" based will receive top priority. so just hold out for them, and for all you know they might extend your account by so many days to cover the lost time.

I suspect this type of petition takes a while to work out if you are the actual owner, not someone trying to steal a account and also trying to figure out how the thief stope the account in the first place.
Cant just go and say sure , heres your account back..your new password is .... and dont forget to change it asap, I would need earplugs to block the screams if they (CCP) gave a legit account to a thief :P
You guys should try Blizzards Customer service (Europe) for WoW - Bloody hell is that a nightmare, hell you even have to struggle to activate your account (acc. manager is 80% down) , took them 12 days to sort out a game destroying bug (was called a Disconnect Storm - game disconnected players within 2~3 min , except in x location ..then it took 1~1.5 hrs), major lag in instances ..I mean instances! I can understand say a capital City... but in a special raid only instance ..lagging ? Blizzards forum moderators tried thier best to keep players happy but the Devs rarely if ever posted any info about undeniable problems, definetly no Blogs for WoW Europe players.
Nahh CCP hasn't done too badly in comparison..I am immpressed by the fact they actally admit to a fault and claim to be fixing it, instead of living in denial and offering more deals to reel in more new players. Some learn painlessly, others have to be taught ...painfully. |

I think CCP should open their wallet and hire someone to deal with petitions, not this cheap volunteers nonsense.

Well yeah, I'd imagien theres a lto of investigating into claims of character theft.
As for support in general, it seems ot have improved to a very satisfactory level lately

I hate to sound like a fanboi, but every single issue I have had with Eve has been resolved in a very prompt manner. If you approach your petition with respect and patience, most likely the response will be one that you will appreciate.
Your problem is indeed unfortunate Ma'Kur, but I imagine that those of you chiming in with your complaints probably developed your attitude following this series of events:
1. Loss of something valuable 2. Petition formed, contents as follows "Rabble rabble rabble, you guys suck, rabble rabble, you give me back my stuff, rabble rabble."
Ofcourse they didn't give you your stuff back!
I'll give you a little hint here folks, be patient and always keep one thing in mind: You catch more flies with honey.

That's impossible, as the current Other petition queue is about 5 weeks. Unless you consider 5 weeks prompt.

GM's are paid employees. ISD are an only volunteer service.\
Ma'Kur your issue is a serious one, therefore the GM's need to investigate it. Such investigations take time. It is unfortunate but the right course of action must be taken.

CCP constantly grossly mis allocates their respources, they are quick to fix issues that have little to no effect on the greater benfit of the game, and drag their feet on any major ones. Also, the GM's act as if their hands are tied things (reimbursement and such) even thoguh they are the only ones who can fix these issues. Don't misunderstand, there are people who are gonna try and get over, bit i have difficulty with the repsonse "our logs dont show this stance". Especaially since they have the master logs and that its a cheap way for them to avoid issues. If ccp doesnt resolve these inds of matters they are gonna lose a lotta money and players.

Obviously they have to look into it fully. For all we (and the GMs) know, the OP could be trying to scam an account he knows is currently inactive of its characters.
If they just reimbursed everything without question, that would be extremely corrupt (poor) customer service.

Its not just ingame customer service...
I ordered my GTC 3 months ago. Ive sent 5 emails asking where they are, all with no response. You would think that since i spent $200 on something, they could at least send it to me.
I'll be sending another email shortly... eagerly awaiting not getting a response to it.

Things have been crappy since this dragon patch Im sure the "already trying to activate" message when you want your shield booster or armour repper to work will definately kill a ship at the right time! Frankly I can see why the players would do it and I also can see how that would take away from the staff that ccp would need to write hotfixes to help fix the problem
The lag is all over there is button delay even in 0.0 with no one in the entire system
