Im looking into training for a command ship, the fleet command ones to be precise, but i dont understand how the warfare links work, i understand that on the fleet command ship you can run 3 at the same time and you get 3% benifit to certain ones per skill level of command ship.
But what i dont get is, if i fit a command module on my ship that i dont get the benifit to it, is it worth fitting? or is the benifit piddly?
For example, i fit on my EOS, a skirmish warfare link but the EOS benifit is, '3% bonus to effectiveness of Information Warfare Links per level' but the skill to use the skirmish warfare link gives, "Advanced proficiency at skirmish warfare. 100% bonus to effectiveness of skirmish warfare link modules per level" does this apply? and how effective is the skill?
So i am basically asking is it worth me putting modules on that i dont get a benifit to from the ship?

The race-specific command ships bonus ends up being trivial. Fit whichever modules you want on whichever command ship you can fly.
Be aware, though, that each different family of gang mods requires a large and separate training investment... roughly three weeks for each additional warfare line to get to Spec IV, if you don't have the basic leadership skills already trained. (Spec V is another 4 weeks all by itself.) So for example, if you want to put Armored Warfare links on your EOS, that's fine, but if you want to put Armored *and* InfoWar links on it, you have to add extra training time for the second family.
The Wing Command skill, which is supposed to increase the effectiveness of the Fleet COmmand ship bonus, is not seeded yet.

2% Bonus With Everything Maxed = 27% 2% Bonus With Ship Bonus = 31.05%

so...
2 * 6 * 1.5 * 1.5 = 27%
Thought I saw this in the patch notes somewhere saying that it was fixed to be in line with the description.

The biggest boost comes from the mindlink. You can only have 1 mindlink in your head at a time. So you are better off picking 1 type of mod to specialize in, and just use that.
The ship bonus is nothing compared to a mindlink. A mindlinked cyclone pilot with max skills gets a much bigger bonus to skirmish warfare mods than a non-mindlinked claymore pilot.

You need the link at 5. A claymore with mindlink and lvl 4 squadron command/lvl 4 command ships makes all 20km warp disruptors 27km warp disruptors. Pretty nice.
