They never bothered to come and see what was happening and note the names for themselves.
how do you know this? GMs dont show up in local
Trust me GM's do not show up in locals unless they want to, no point sneaking around if everyone can see you, also they won't ever show as online even if you add the names to your address book :)
yes, and that's what i said, Mr Informed. LTR :P

Sorry, but you are just being lazy. Take a screenshot of the local window. Put it up somewhere. Create new petition on web site instead of ingame. Give details and linky to screenie (or several screenies).
Done. Simple, no?
GM jumps in system, looks for themselves.
Simpler, no?
Theres got to be demarcation points, If spoending 30secs to come look in local, is tooooooooo much for a GM to do, then hes right, they obviously dont care.

I've seen more people complaining, than those who are actually engaged in the practice of macro-mining. That comes after 2 months of work/missions that took me into Jita, Sobaseki, Haatomo, Halaima, Rairomon, Enderailen, Vuorrassi, et cetera.
Furthermore, at any given time there are possibly in excess of 10,000 players online, and not even half as many GM's. Logic dictates that the GM's are very, very busy people who cannot be in a thousand locations at one time.
Furthermore, the petition queue stands at over 1000 petitions: this figure has no doubt increased, given the ever-present factors (petitions regarding disconnects, petitions regarding harassment, petitions regarding technical problems, et cetera). This, in turn, means that there is even more workload for the GM's to deal with.
In short, if the OP wants to be helpful, they should find their own personal way of dealing with the macro-miners, instead of making yet another thread regarding the macro-miner problem.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Have a nice day. _________________________________

Why? MONEY.
There is nothing like having 10,000 accounts paying and not being used because they are training the alts to farm, and to replace used up accounts....
That is $150,000/month in US dollars. Someone has to pay the private CCP cook, right?
(10,000 is my made up number, im guessing there are at least 10,000 farmers out there.)
QFT! Sad but true. CCP has grown to be too big to actually care about their "fanbois". Just like in WoW botters and gold farmers can continue playing like no tomorrow.
