Hi,
I read somewhere that the best tank you can give an ishtar would be to use 2 x Centum A-Type Medium Armor Repairer and 3 x Centum Active Armor Hardeners (not sure if these are centum or some other faction)
Would this be correct? Its not for PVP its for COSMOS (all races) and Gallente lvl 1-4 missions (of course I would switch hardeners depending on the rats)
Advice?

I'm not sure but I don't think that Centum repairers are available; only Corpum reps are. Anyway, yes, that would surely make a fearsome tank, but it would not be sustainable (except maybe with officer cap rechargers that cost 10 times your Ishtar alone), therefore you would be dependant on cap booster charges, and that's bad for missions. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships!

Not true at all. Currently my Ishtar is tanked just how he described, two corpum a-type armor reps, and 3x core x-type 64% hardeners. With decent cap skills and mid slots fitted out with 3x cap recharger II 1x medium cap battery and 1x large cap battery the tank is fully sustainable. Not to mention my resists are 97.4%/88.3% for kin/therm which makes my Guristas missions a piece of cake. Cap never dips below around 40% with just the tank running, when running one or both of my tractor beams and the 75mm railgun IIs fitted it dips a little lower, but never had it run out.

Everything in the above post is false
-Centum A-Type Medium Armor Repairers are in game and can easily be found on escrow. They have the same stats as Corpum A-Type medium reps.
-You don't need expensive officer cap rechargers to keep a dual rep faction tank running on an Ishtar. Large Peroxide Cap battery is your friend. Though if you're spending the isk on such a setup, I highly recommend getting a hold of 'Thurifer' Large Cap Battery.
-For Gallente COSMOS, you'd fit for example 2x Centum A-Type Medium Armor Rep + 2x Centus X-Type Thermic Hardeners + 1x Centus X-Type Kinetic Hardener. This would give:
Kinetic resist: 94.15% Thermal resist: 94.808% Rep/s: 104 hp/s
Kinetic dmg absorbed: 1777.7 DPS Thermal dmg absorbed: 2003.0 DPS
You can keep the above tank running 24/7 on an Ishtar with 2x 'Thurifer' Large Cap Battery + 2x Cap Recharger II with lvl5 cap skills. Go with 2x Kin + 1x Therm hardener against Guristas as suggested.
- I wouldn't use an Ishtar against NPCs that do EM/Exp dmg. Better off taking a Domi or another ship that can handle it better.

Yeah, dominix is less micromanagement than ishtar, and its cheaper.
Simple strategy with domi is warp, turn on hardeners, and repairers, aggro, and release drones, check 5 min later, scoop the loot :) ---------------------- I got pwnt by the giggling admiral BiH 4tw |

Lots of good advice here, thanks. What are the differences between Centum and Corpum stuff? For example the A-Type Medium Armor Repairers seem to have exactly the same attributes and fitting requirements
