I like randomly moving complexes as well. and make the current complexes respawn timer random too please. Enough farming. PLus being in US, all complexes are run at 4:05 am my time, so I never even get to see them.
And agreed, where are those pictures hosted? Iceland?
P.S. I just hope the new complexes wont despawn and move while you are in them...

Man, this is cool.
A couple of things to add. A "Difficulty" color coding? OMFG how stupid is that? I sincerely hope (and doubt) that CCP is remotely ignorant enough of the game dynamics to put something like that in. If you didn't know a tempest could kill a covert ops frigate, you don't need to be warping into gatecamps after scanning out a small fleet. I sincerely hope they are standings so we can tell who is hostile and who is not in a system scan, that is sorely lacking today.... and for no "RP" reason other than "we couldn't think of how to do it yet"...
Picture this scenario. I'm a highly skilled pilot specialized in flying a blaster-gank-brutix. I scan two ships.... one is a tempest, flown by a total noob with medium beam lasers mounted (?!?). The other is a tempest that happens to be fully T2/faction fitted and can WTFPWN me in 3 seconds. If it is a "difficulty" rating, one should be yellow, maybe the other should be red. Is someone saying that the scanprobes will tell the difference? And if I've already seen they're in a tempest, i don't need/want a color coding to tell me "TEMPEST... BIIIIG, CHEETAH... SMAAAALL" and scanning out their fittings and skills? That doesn't fit...
On the other hand, I REALLY like the idea of deadspace complexes moving around after they've been toatsed or have sat around for a few weeks.
It makes sense that some angel drug laboratory would probably shut down and move after being raided by a large fleet. I would imagine that it would be supremely stupid for them to sit at the same deadspace and let themselves get owned time after time after time, 8 times a day and respawn at precicely the same interval heh. So from a realism POV, this makes sense.
Also, it makes sense that most 0.0 asteroid belts would be uncharted... coolness.
/me admires his scanprobe/covops fitted helios and grins
/me trains astrometrics to level 5
/me ponders the fittings for a "salvage" module.
Woot!!

The colour shows how hard it was to spot the found object, which leads to inaccuracy of the scan result. Red means: that thing is so big that it glows in dark space.

Huh, what?
Does it mean that a red result is inaccurate, or the opposite? Because a covops result being more accurate than a battleship would be nuts.

I really like this idea, but wouldn't something like the glowy effect we have on the universe map be a somewhat better option? like if there is 1 pilot in space, there is barely a blip, while if there is 100 pilots its giant red and glowy... This way a group of ships gathered at one point or whatnot that were scanned out would create a HUGE spot showing to you in your overview THIS is where their fleet is... then it would even open up options to have certain celestial objects in space that have will cause a large blip, that you could move your fleet to, in order to somewhat hide your numbers... (I really don't know how any of this would be implemented at all or how effective but it really sounded cool in the minute i spent thinking about it)

TomB,
I'm interested in knowing what ship clss will be dedicated to the new role of 'Explorer'.
Will it be the Recon or the existing firgate/Cov-ops class?
If the Recon is the way ahead will the existing Cynoc bonuses on them be changed?

Merely speculation here, but im assuming LOCAL is going to change.
otherwise in example two, our hero would of seen all the ugly enemy faces in local and jumped the hell out of there immeadiately
