Splagada Minmatar Tides of Silence	Posted - 2006.09.27 22:11:00 - [1] Hey Tides of Silence has its door opened for possibly getting new members The corp is for now empire based, with a few remote "advanced outposts" which are some npc stations or friends stations about anywhere The group is a small group so far, mostly 25-30+ years old with a life, so we play when the schedule permit Our primary goal is industry, mission running, and dont plan to join another corp or an alliance We are part of a few uninformal "alliances" (a pvp corp helps us when needed for example, we get some supplies from them and sell part of our production to them. some friends are doing mining ops in 0.0 sometimes with us, etc). we sit on a 4/10 complex, are near two 2/10, are close to a 5/10, and we do frequent hauling blockade runs up to 0.0 for those who want to have fun, for market or to get to our many different offices in random places, probe and sell moons, etc We try to develop this corp as a home for its members. we want normal people, the chat is really relaxed, and we wont force you to do anything but try to contribute when you can. If you contribute, you will get something back. Shares will be for sale soon inside the corp, at almost a zero price. maybe opened to the rest of the world if the corp gets its cruise speed. We have a couple european players, and a couple US based ones We are non-pirates, so dont apply if you are, you wouldnt get your fun here. However, a person who applies, in my opinion, would have the ability to get quickly to a nice position within the corp. for example, we lack some experienced players still, and those would be in a position, mostly with their "network of friends", to greatly help the corp get to new places or opportunities So in conclusion we prefer to stay small/mid size with fun people instead of growing wildly with people who dont share anything. I needed a bit of newbie help getting things going and the ToS guys were more than happy to help. SO much so, it was their hospitality that convinced me to upgrade to a paying account. Now, I feel like I'm part of the gang. Whenever I have a question, there's always someone on hand to answer, no matter how noobish it seems. When I need some help with a mission, or mining, or ratting, there's always somebody willing to help. Some of our longstanding members, including Splag, Jedek, and Wi1fred Death, are just awesome. Jedek fronted me 10 mill so I could make a trade run, no strings attached. Wi1 GAVE me an Osprey because he knew I would need one as soon as I trained for it. Splag, well, Spalg is just Splag. Everyone knows how awesome Splag is. :D At any time, there's always something happening, and everyone helps everyone else. If you need help with something, just say so in chat, and three people will be willing to help you. I'm still an EVE noob, but I'd love to see others join ToS, if only so I could pass on to new members the hospitality and goodwill that has been passed on to me.

terania	Posted - 2006.09.29 16:18:00 - [8] I made the decision to pull out of 0.0 for awhile about a month ago. Actually, I'm thankful that I did as it has given me the oportunity to join up with Tides of Silence. I discovered the corp, almost entirely by accident, well as by accident as trawling the recruitment channel can be. The corp is relatively new but the player base is diverse and from what I have seen has its sights are set on one day achieving greatness. This is a refreshing change for me, I have been part of large 0.0 alliances and through no fault, you tend to get lost in the crowd. Tides is completely different, everyone has a voice. Indeed, from day one, as an established player, I was granted access to corp features that I had not been allowed to use in previous corps notwithstanding that I had been a member of those corps for many months. The corp leadership recognises that for us older players, eve sometimes has to take a back seat to real life issues like changing nappies (diapers to our friends across the sea) and time with the gf/wife. There is no guilt associated with not being able to join in on a corp event and the attitude is very much, oh well, hope you can make it to the next one. Tides, like any good corp, has as one of it's aims, the helping of newer players. As well as discounted ships and free mods, have you ever fancied mining in a gang with a miner posessing Mining Foreman V. Or, how about taking your teranis or rifter into a level 4 'safely'(tm) as the battleships in the gang will have all the agro...the loot and bounties can be pretty good. Anyway, enough of me prattling on...if you're looking for a mature, predominantly empire based corp then you could do a lot worse than Tides of Silence.

Overall they are a great corp, if your into mining theres loads of opportunities and support, same if your into ratting and mission running. We are always able to help out members in many ways, and our current members are a really good bunch, like Jed, splag (the nutter), klarr (the tractor king), soporo and all of them tbh. They dont demand you do this or that, they help out and we all chip in and pay that help back ten-fold.

Anyway I'm currently on my 3rd day of the 14 day free trial, and will definitely be subscribing at the end of it. Currently solo mining in a Navitas and trying to gain as many skills as possible.
