If you can take/give things from/to a corporate hangar array of a carrier while it is un-docked, can a frieghter take/give things from/to it while it is un-docked as well? Or is it limited to all ships besides frieghters?

I believe a Freighter is just a big industrial ship. I don't think it is a capital ship, so it probably doesn't have any "special" features.

Well I ask becuase freighters can't pick up things in space, and I was under the impression that freighters couldn't use the corp hangar array in a POS. So following that line of thinking, I'm assuming they can't use the corp hangar array on a capital ship. I was just looking to hear from someone whos seen it done, or done it.

carriers work as pos, in the array corp thing... so then the answer would be no, but nor have i tested it im about 80-90% sure
even then if you could you would be limited to 10k m3 which isnt all that special, for some of the things that your thinking i think you want a lot more space for

You cant do anything in a undocked freighter. Even "stack all" dont work. You cant jettison, you cant loot from cans, jettisons or secured containers, nothing.
The only thing a freighter can do is "launch for self" and "launch for corp". As you cant put a container other than a general freight container, the only things you can "launch" are pos and outpost (not even sure for pos...), you cant even fuel a pos with it.
A carrier works like a pos with a corporate hangar and a ship maintenance array. You approach it, right click and access the main functions via the contextual menu. So you can drag from array in your cargo and from your cargo to your fitting (not via the station interface but directly on your ship fitting circles).
As a freighter cant move stuff in space, and as you are in space when using a corporate hangar or a carrier hangar, you cant exchange things with a carrier and a freighter outside a station.
