EVEnews TV, staring me, sets out to bring EVE players a wrap up of the weeks events from all across the EVE Universe As time passes EVEnews will evolve. BTW Who needs to read Oveur news roundup when you can watch me :) [no offense to Oveur of course]. There are two option for viewing, either by download, or browser based flash player).
Stats: Length: 5 minutes Download size: 21mb File type: wmv (if you can't watch that or don't like it, then I suggest you view the flash based version - second link provided).
Download Link: Linkage
Browser Flash-Based Link Linkage
In the future we will be partnering with evenews.com (which isn't up yet so if you go there you won't see much). Watch the broadcasts and the forums for updates on that.
What's in the broadcast: Tranquility News, DevBlog roundup (because there were so many blogs this week), Alliance News, ASCN Titan Video. Remember you can pause the video at any time to read the information presented on the screen!
If you have any questions or comments or want to show some of your own video off contact me ingame (via evemail).
Problems: Sound Issues Me looking at laptop to read script (buy me a teleprompter) This issue was suppose to be out Friday, but due to technical difficulties this was not possible
Thanks!

Sticky this now:) This is one of the best ideas I've seen so far, following in the footsteps of EVE TV. Having smth like this sure is handy for those too lazy to check forums every day (like me) The mineral prices *****ed me up Might be a nice feature to have the avarage HAC prices from http://eve-central.com next time as well, I do believe that the info in there is pretty accurate. A very nice one, although you look a bit frightened by the camera. Takes some practice I guess. _____________________________________________ Too bad at photoshop and too poor to buy a sig |

But otherwise pretty good

This is kind of neat, but you need to rehearse a bit more and put your notes in an area that isn't so conspicuous. It's very noticable when you move your eyes to look at your notes. Maybe it's just me, but you also looked a tad nervous. The best reporters have gravitas and a real sense of dignity when they speak. Keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it. That said, the production values are very nice and the ticker at the bottom is great.

I asked kieron but don't know if he read the email yet...any other dev or board monitor is welcome to. But there may be "too many stickies."
Quote: The mineral prices are wrong, and seriously...

As for the notes/teleprompter, most news people have it right in front of their camera lens, just because they have sheets of script on their desk or on the note pad, 95% of the time they are reading a script. In the future I will try to place the prompting somewhere else, it's evolving like I say...
Thanks for all the comments! It really helps.

I really enjoyed that excellent start. And please continue, as well as posting to youtube makes it easy to watch...
Minor suggestions the quality of the sound was a little doggy and might need looking at, since it kept cliching. Also more use of the right panel, and slighty bigger font on ticket, hard to read on youtube.
But keep it up and if you need any assistance I would love to help.

Have you ever watched FOX or CNN? Those 2 networks each have a bias so strong it's silly. News only has to be unbiased if they declare themselves to be unbiased, otherwise there's nothing wrong with saying what you believe to be the correct "news".

FOX declares themselves to be "Fair and Balanced," thus they should be unbiased. But of course they're not.
CNN is considerably less biased than FOX though--if anything they're the closest to the center of the political spectrum. At least they're less right-wing than CBS or ABC. They're way too sensational though, so IMO not worth watching. That's one thing for EVE-news to take into account: sensationalism is bad.
But avoid politics.

great first effort! No-ones expecting it to be perfect first time..
When I need a cue card, I always hang it just below the camera lens, cos that looks fairly natural - or see if you can get an assistant to hold it there, and turn the pages for you. or if you don't have an assistant, cutaways are your friend! :-)
When you were talking about the titan, I'd have shown the video silently then instead of the shot of you.
Another idea - you could release the graphics publically, so that people can submit stories to you as well!

Very nice effort.
If you're really going to keep at this, I would strongly urge you to actually try to speak with the people you mention in your broadcasts. Having actual quotes or comments from them would add a great deal content-wise.
Also, you should spend a bit more time covering several events in a shorter amount of time.

Yes, Keiron congratulated us on building the first titan. However, Keiron is a PR manager and not an in-game developer. So take his comments with a grain of salt.
MC may have a good relationship with BoB, but that doesn't mean they are allied with them. At the end of the day, they are mercenaries and ISK is their true ally.
Refrain from what could be perceived as derogatory/negative remarks such as calling BoBÆs allies ôbandwagonsö. Even if there is some truth in your statement, it comes across in a negative way and will only create more hatred towards alliances.
DonÆt go to ôextraö lengths explaining simple terms or concepts. You went out of your way to explain what a pendulum does. We all know it swings both directions

I really like the format! Of course you can make it better, as you allready stated yourself.
I only have to (constructively meant) remarks: - Try to go for Ingame News instead of CCP-news... guess coverage of wars, tradedeals, stocks etc would be really cool - Decide for yourself how you want your news to be: so politically neutral or not, propaganda or not, Empire-tied, alliance-tied, completely objective (<= is the most difficult to do i recon)
Have fun making the next show and success!

Thought that was great mate. If you keep going I am sure it will start to look really polished and its certainly better than I could manage. This sort of thing adds another layer of imerssion to the game which is always good. A purely personal comment is this tho: I think like a poster above mentioned it might be good to just have ingame news. However its your show mate so do what you want.
