why ?
Ķause short range isnt viable ? Or because it takes too long to fetch the cans ?
I dont see an issue either way tbh, pve doesnt need to become easier in any way.

I'm torn on this. It is wrong that short range ships get gimped in this manner, but it is also wrong that it becomes trivially easy to kite enemies using long range weapons.

why? deadspace lack of MWD allows devs and content designers to really decide how players will move through an area. same as the accel gates parking your ship exactly where its wanted. Im not saying its always fun.. but thats how things work.

Who cares how you move through a deadspace area? It's not like you have a set path you travel. I would love to see MWD in deadspace so that I could actually use blasters in PVE, or to go tackle people running complexes.

If you allowed MWD, then it wouldn't be deadspace. So they will never allow them, nor should they, EVER!
If you want to make an impact jump to the Game development forum, and put in your idea in for an "enviroment" that you want.
ie: Ion Storm-MWD require 50% less cap to run...

but no, I don't support MWD's in deadspace, there should be more territorial contrains in the game. EG armor resistances going depending on your proximity to the sun.

Because you could just use an inty with a MWD and "tank" entire 10/10 complexes with it because all NPCs go after the first target.
Or for solo work MWD at longrange and snipe everything till kingdom come without getting damage.
Both things which can be fixed with some effort, but until this is done don#t expect to be able to use a MWD in deadspace.

Really, I don't see the point of not allowing MWDs in complexes. I mean, really, how would allowing MWDs make the PvE "easier"? If I could see some major advnatage apparent in allowing such mods, then fine, let CCP balance the game, but I just don't see the logic. Am I missing something?

HOnestly, the reason you shouldn't be able to use mwds in deadspace is because all missions would then be done as follows:
1 Interceptor built for huge speed and a bit of tank 6000 m/s +. "The Sheepdog"
2 1 BAttleship fitted without tank, and for pure gankage "The cannon"
Interceptor pilot whizzes in and aggros every rat on the screen. and proceed to make a large orbit (say 40km) while not a single rat can hit him or get close, and will get rounded up into a huge herd in the centre of the inty's orbit.
The cannon then blasts every rat in double quick time, move onto the next stage.
Even the hardest missions would become totally easy mode for two fairly low-skilled pilots. That is why no mwd in deadspace, unless you want to make the rats alot harder to compensate.

Well then, why don't we disallow the rats to use MWD? If leveling the playing field is what we want, anyways. They're using the exploit that NPCs can use MWDs in deadspace to gank poor mission and complex runners! Nerf!

Hm, guess the rats have to be controlled by humans then.
Seriously, though initially I was against the prohibition of MWD in deadspace I realise the NPC would be far too easy to "kite".

CCP has been talking about various 'environmental effects' for a while now. Deadspace is one of those effects. I would like to see more effects that affect various aspects of game play, not less.
Besides, allowing MWD in Deadspace will make it way to easy.
