Do you bother with medium drones?
It seems to me light drones are superior to mediums at killing frigates. They get to them faster and seem to have an easier time taking them down.
For everything larger, my heavy drones seem to be able to take down just fine. For long range I use sentries. Then drone travelling times are taken out of the equation.
Seems like medium drones are pointless on a ship like the Domi. They're useful on the vexor and the thorax, but for the Domi I can't seem to find a use for them.
Is there something I am missing, or is that pretty much the case for ships with enough drone bay for 5 x heavies?

Yeah, I think I'll drop mediums from my domi setup.
I haven't heard a single person in this thread mention sentry drones. You guys should try them out. They're awesome at long range. With a couple of drone link augmenters you can snipe at 80km+ with them. It's great.

Well I have drones V, drones interfacing IV, scout drone op V, drone specialisation IV, drone navigation IV, drone sharpshooting IV, drone durability IV and combat drone ops IV. My lights will kill a group of frigates a LOT faster than my mediums do, everytime. Especially interceptors. But even pve vs frigates that are spread out from each other. My lights tear through frigates in no time.
My heavies also kill cruisers faster than my mediums in level 4 missions. Have you ever actually timed how long it takes for your mediums to kill your average group of 5 frigs in pve, and then compared it to lights. You maybe suprised. I know I was.
