I'm getting interested in poking my nose around a bit. I'm interested in finding a cheap, fast ship to nose around in. :-) Can ye olde standard frigate do the trick?

Jumping into a bubble camp is easy, just wait until right before your jump cloak times out, then mwd back to the gate. Youll make it more times then not. This works really well in an inty, a slower tech1 frig might have problems.
dont warp into a bubble camp, a well placed bubble puts you, say 40km off the gate, and a good gate camp will be able to get most intys, with few exceptions.

If your trajectory intersects the bubble (you don't need to pass THROUGH the bubble, the bubble is in front of where you should come out of warp), then you're "sucked" wight in the middle of the bubble. Many say it's a bug and gripe about it, other say thanks for the intended use... you never know which one is true as nobody ever confirmed nor denied it officially (well, at least I couldn't find such a statement).
In other words:
..bubble...........gate.....your warpout point............where you come from ..( [x] )...........(0)......*.....................................[ ]
Instead of landing on *, you land in the middile of [x]. __ Always question everything. Including yourself. |

if you warp into a bubble, depending on how close you are to the gate either mwd and make a dash for it or turn around, get out of the bubble and warp
jumping into a bubble, you can mwd back to the gate or if theres not too much in the camp align towards a warpable object, hit mwd, when you're out of hte bubble warp if they've got a huginn with sensor boosters you're screwed either way tho

I use an executioner and it works extremely well. I dont have too great fitting skills, but i can fit
2x 200mm ac 1
1x mwd 1x small electrochemical injector
1x dmg control 1x local hull nano
...acs there just for the heck of it, not like youd actually be able to kill anything, but i would surely regret it if an ibis scramed you and you had no guns rofl.
cap booster since i cant sustain the mwd, and it holds 4 75 charges, and i put 8 in the hold, which takes around 60m3 i think
obviously dmg control for if you do get locked and you need a few xtra secs to get to a gate
ive never actually run into a bubble, but i would imagine being safe if i jumped into one. However, warping into one and your pretty muvh screwed

Well there's always a chance you will get popped no matter what you fly, but each faction has a fast T1 frigate: Atron, Executioner, Condor, and Slasher. The really nice thing is that they are cheap ships so if the speed doesn't save you there's not much lost.

Right.
You might consider stopping short of the gate, using your scanner and then not warping to the gate based on what your scanner tells you.
Also consider pulling up your map, looking at the systems on your route, and then not jumping into a system with a lot of people in it until you get some intelligence on exactly who is in that system and what they are up to.

Executioner: 1x MWD, 2x Overdrives
Slasher: 1x MWD, 1x Overdrive
I use either of those two to sneak into 0.0, at my entry point there is *always* a gate camp, but I make it more often than not. The main thing is not to panic. You have a little time before you uncloak, so before you move take a stock of the situation. Find whether it would be better to get back to the gate, or to try and warp. That Executioner can go around 3.2km/s with my skills and although it gets ripped through by most things you can get back to the gate and jump within 7 seconds, if you assume they notice you've uncloasked immediately you still have a little time before they can lock you and fire. Usually you can make it out of a gate-camp if you act quickly and smartly.

I have low skills but have absolutely no problem zooming around low sec in a Vigil loaded with a couple of WCS and a nano, including through gate camps. I almost never even get locked, but I think that's probably because no one bothers...
Once through the camp, I make several safe spots and instas in the system, making it even easier to enter/exit next time. Once in a pirate infested-system, I warp from SS to SS every few minutes and scan the gates before using my instas to them (my instas are from SS rather than from other gates).
On the other hand, once I jumped into a pirate-infested system in my Kessie before realizing that I had somehow lost my SS/instas for that system...bad news...I warped around from planet to planet for a few minutes before two of the pirates tracked me down and killed me.

There are no bubbles in low sec, so a fast frig with mwd is usually safe even without instas, and virtually invulnerable with instas.
About bubbled camps, a frig/ceptor can more often than not survive, often mwd'ing back to the gate, but expect to get popped now and then! ___________________________________________

More and more gatecamps in 0.0 use an Interdictor with Huggin or Rapier Recon ships. Even Inti pilots with snake sets could be in for a hard time with these especially if the recon pilot fits 3 sensor boosters.

Actually, not quite. I fixed it. ^ Marks where you land. If you are in a ship other than shuttle or pod, you will drift into the bubblezone. Otherwise it's correct. - Three years old |

That setup would be better with nanos, sure it would be a little slower but you would have a faster warp and a better acceleration to your top speed.
