To be clear, active doesn't mean you need to be logged on. Anyone who is subscribed or plexed is considered an "active player". Basically if you are allowed to log on to EVE today, you're "active".

I like that each team gets to throw away two of the other teams possible setups. I myself have experianced asian pvp in games, it's usually either horribly abusing game mechanics and glitches /or/ being as cheap as possible. As in ECM EVERYTHING! A lot more so than others I'm assuming because they are more commonly hardcore gamers.

I still don't get the reason for excluding t2 drones. Are you guys trying to remove the drone meta compeltely? For certain nships, T1 drones are esentially like T1 turrets for those ships.
So if your just trying to remove the drone meta, please say so. |

One team one match sounds too simple and too quick to be fun. Can't we invite top 3 teams from both servers? So that people from the lost side won't blame the only representative team, therefore less pressure for them. |

The PVP matches are kind of a cool rendition of ancient arena games.
So how about a match that includes the "other" players in EVE?
You know.. the lowly Indy players?
A match where the PVP guys have to support and protect their Indy guys while also killing their opponents and the outcome of the match not only includes ship kill points but successful mining and manufacturing points?
I sense a whole new set of bragging rights coming on.
And if it happens, well....if it happens.

If you were sat at home watching the stream, yeah its sounds good, however if your there its a good time for pre-crawl prep, ie nap, shower,food :)

the pub crawl is around 8pm i think... and i think the match will be at 5.. if my maths are right. so you should have time to see it.

I personally am on a bus coming home at 2pm on a Friday for 2 hours (which is what time that is for me) coming from college back home. Maybe make it anyone active that week/subscribed so as to be fair CCP? |

Thank you! As even though I have a nice rig/internet setup, I'd rather not bog down the stream IN ANYWAY with EVE running at the same time just to be eligible for the ship if Camel wins. As the tourney streams have been quite finicky for me and my internet isn't mediocre by any means. Now granted it's not Fios (which I used to be on) but I'm still getting roughly the same speeds I was. Just on crappy Comcast where I have to share the line with pretty much EVERYONE in the damn county. Instead of being on a dedicated line with Fios.
(my speeds I think are either 25mbps down and like 10 up or 50 mbps down 10 up. But again with comcast, that means nothing during peak time.) |

As was mentioned, being "active" doesn't mean you have to be logged in at the time of the match. It just means your account has to be subscribed at the time of the match. So whichever team wins, anyone with an account that is all paid up at the time of the match on that server will get the ship.

Am I reading this correctly? If a team indicates that a Domi is part of one setup, the Domi cannot be included in any of the other 6 setups? That's wild!
Also, on the T2 drones ban - given that the last AT had increased the points cost of the Domi, and that the Domi isn't called out as having an increased point cost in this competition, I suspect some connection. |
