ISD actor posing as an npc faction threatening to blow up our pos, we are only a small corp and cant fight of a fleet of dreads, what can we do? arn't events meant to be fun for the players? Theres no fun in watching our pos get destroyed against odds we cant beat, by a force that was just spawned in the system with GM like powers, they take no risk, they get the fun, we get wiped out...

Which faction do the actors belong to?
Depending upon who they are, you may find that supporters of the opposite faction will come to your aid.
On top of that, that's lots of people out there who just like shoting at Aurora, so I'm sure that you'll be able to find assisstance

Usually the best thing to do when you are blessed with GM interaction is to whine, biatch, and complain about it on the forums.. For godsake, whatever you do, do not try to act in character or make an actual effort to work within the game.. Just complain, and complain loudly.. I'm sure the GMs really do love and appreciate it.. Good job.. Idiot..

However, I must say that I have read the exact communication you were given and I think your reading too much into the dialogue.

Or the dreads will have posssibly been already destroyed (or disappeared), and the angry mob will then swarm your POS in an angry frenzy.

Why, oh WHY do you insist on entering our game universe and supplying us with these events?? and while i'm having a whine, ccp, would you please stop working on the game, and maybe even stop roids from spawning.

man, what I wouldnt do to be involved in some of this fun event planning. These events are for fun, and I promis you, if you looked into it, there would be no POS destroyed. the Events never alter the flow of the game to an extreem level. if the Caldari were gonna blow up your POS, then you would suddenly have a fleet of Gallente defenders b/c you have "contributed to the amazing success of the Gallente Federation" or something. Learn to play along. The events crew is doing their best to make some fun short clips for everyone in the game.
And if any Events people are reading this, please feel free to contact me if my services are needed.

Some great ideas here. Here is another one.
Have you thought about tearing down your POS and moving it to some place safe untill it all blows over? I mean honestly. This isn't rocket science here. Well... hey... wait... it is rocket science! Imagine that!

how would an isd event thing threatening to pop your pos be any different from some alliance or pvp corp doing it?

For one thing, the smaller corps usually try and build allainces where ever possible and stay under the radar of the bigger alliances. I believe the problem was they didnt provoke the attack in the first place...

That would be like the cold war, but all the nukes would probably be launched because their are no human lives at stake, just really expensive ships. but then again arent they close to the same.
By the way if that did happen i would sit back and join the winning side when it started to sway heavely towards one side, just like that guy in Dogma.
