I would think testing what you can with your skills on Sisi (and yes, even train them normally) and writting useful bug reports will get you noticed. And getting you noticed in a positive way tends to bring good things.
If anything I'd like to see an option NOT to overwrite my Sisi chars with a mirror :)

Would be "activable" max once a day, and would ONLY "copy" skills, nothing else (no goodies, no location, no clones, nothing BUT the skill levels and the fact you are "active" and not subscription expired).

Ok so what about a ticket service. Like only 50 - 100 accnts will be copied every downtime to Sisi. So when you put in your request you get put into a que and it will say what day your files will be copied over ?
Good idea / Bad idea ?
Your thoughts?

Originally by: Sir Bart They say it's a big job to mirror onto the test server, what I would like is if they did partial mirrors (mirror skills and forget 99% of the db) once per week. And then do full mirrors once every 4 months or so (which is about what they do now).
Haven't received any responce on the topic yet from anyone that counts.
I agree with this, every week or two weeks they should mirror just skills and accounts ( Since peoples accounts seam to go inactive when mirrors are done - I have a m8 who has an account that was active but he cant get on due to password stuff. ).
Or they could actually take a bit of time and write up a small section on the site here and put an option to get skills from TQ ( Which also updates acc info ). --Sig-- Anything posted by me is my opinion and not that of my corp or alliance. |

Well i think if they did a que system they would sift out those accounts that are dead/inactive and thus when they do a major patch these will then be included. Keeping the customer happy and also the returning customer.
I would like to know if anyone else agrees with me on this or if you have anything to add. IMO this would work brilliantly but it would need a voice from us as the community to get it noticed.

I've just tried logging into Sisi, and apparently this char and account dont even exist, which makes it obvious there hasnt been a mirror done within the last month and 1 week. Can we please get an update done, as there are changes that i really could do with testing before using any ships on TQ and losing them.

Originally by: Mephysto To make a mirror to sisi takes around 2 hours of downtime to copy the tq db, followed by a day or more of work internally to prepare the db for use. It is not feasable to do this regularly.
Mephysto, when you prepare the database can you please make sure you strip all installed research jobs as well?
At the moment I can't do any testing for invention as I had 10 research jobs running at a POS when the last image was created. I can't start any new research job as the previous ones have to be delivered. You can't deliver jobs unles the POS is online, well the POS isn't even in the same galaxy any longer...
So please, can you add this little feature to your magic preparation script before the next database mirror is created?
