Edited by: Enkilil on 21/10/2006 03:23:50 Edited by: Enkilil on 21/10/2006 03:23:38 I'll go on record as saying I completely agree this is the worst customer service oriented Game I HAVE EVER PLAYED. I have a similar experience as the OP except that I legitimately traded a GTC to another player, who payed me in ISK. I received an email from 'Eve-System' a few weeks later with the following:
According to our logs you have been buying ISK/items for real money. The case was clear enough to justify a warning. Buying or selling ingame items using real money is prohibited. Please read the EULA for further information on the subject.
along with that was a -200,000,000 balance to my account. Nice. I've been working with GMs for a week on this, and it hasn't gone well at all. They have said there is no intention of removing the penalty, and the warning stands, even though everything I have done has been in accordance and terms of the EULA. I haven't purchased any ISK and have traded a Game Time Card legitimately.
I have the option of having it appealed by a 'Senior GM', with the warning from another GM that 'It won't do any good', and a real 'ha ha' attitude.
They can offer no proof to the contrary, other than 'you did this', and all information presented to them, they shot this back @ me:
If you do not accept our decision I must simply point you to this section of the Terms of Service, 24: CCP reserves the right to close, temporarily or permanently, any userĘs account without advance notice as we deem necessary. Furthermore, we reserve the right to delete all user accounts or inventory of characters as warranted.
We believe that we are absolutely correct in doing what we did.
Regards, GM Eldini EVE Online Customer Support
In other words, we can do what we want, however arbitrary or fascist and unfounded. So F.U.
Great job, and thx, CCP. I'm quite certain this has nothing to do with me sharing my negative comments in forums about the state of poor playability in Eve-Online, right? right? right? I guess I can now add 'power-mad reactionary GMs' to the list of things that are wrong w/ this game.
