While I agree with you Nez, I would also say that ASCN being wrong doesn't make the MC right. CYVOK wasn't the best diplomat when he dealt the standings to MC/FIX, however, 2 pilots out of 5000 or w/e it is member alliance is far from representing what most of the alliance thinks.
The most logical solution would have been to take this up with CYVOK and gotten it sorted out. At the same time, I can see where the MC is coming from, but if I want to look at this with total neutrality; ASCN and MC both handled these events badly.

No, you don't. But if you are mantaining a reputation like the MC does, then yeah it might be crucial how the eve community views them, especially if they are in the merc business. If they weren't.. then yeah who would care?  \
